South Korea's Defense Minister has visited three Middle Eastern countries to discuss bilateral military cooperation, Yonhap News Agency reported Sunday, citing government sources.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — In Oman, Song Young-moo met with his counterpart Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib Al Busaidi. They spoke highly about the South Korean destroyers, including the K-9 Thunder self-propelled howitzer, according to Yonhap.

Moreover, the S. Korean minister's talks with high ranking UAE defense officials were focused on the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the defense industry.

In Lebanon, the South Korean defense minister met with Lebanese Defense Minister Yacoub Sarraf, Yonhap reported.

According to Yonhap, the South Korean defense ministry hopes that Song's visit to the three nations will bring "tangible benefits" to South Korea's military exports.
