Saudi Program Calls for Gender-Mixing, No Prayer Closure

The big majority of Saudi Arabians are happy with the reforms and look at MBS as their ideal leader..
one should make a distinction between openness in the limits of Islam and outright openness without limits..

You don't get my point. A big majority in Turkey - not only pro Erodgan classes - are against any kind of military coup in Turkey. Still, a powerful minority within the military tried to seize the power.

I am pointing out that some people are going to put up resistance against him and his agenda. This will definitely happen at a certain point of his carrier. And that moment will reveal his real capacity as a leader and reformer.

The wahab family/clan/tribe is pretty powerful...
AND ultra orthodox. I don't think they will just sit there and take it lightly. The power sharing deal in Saudi Arabia has always been that the saud family controls the political power while the wahab family controls the religious power. Mbs is forcing his way into the wahab territory of control for the first time in the history of saudi Arabia and he isn't even the king yet, he's still just the crown prince albeit with delegated powers of a king from his father, the real king.

Interesting times ahead for the saudis...

He has already faced the worst opposition there is; the armed one and has almost finished it.. He is smart and surrounded by the best and most experienced princes and statesmen of Saudi Arabia.. so no fear from any opposition.. he knows the limits of some Saudis are shorter than the majority and he is balancing things out quite smartly to please everyone.. as I said in the previous post.. all is done in the limits of Islam.. so even the staunched of oppositions can not say or do anything but debate it in those same limits.. no place of extremism or going out from the limits of Islam.. right or left..

There are obviously risks.. and where in the world there are no risks.. the main achievement is reducing those risks to a minimum be it in statehood governance or business.. there is a whole field of science and economy dealing with risk.. its calculations and its minimisation.. in physical sciences it is called the calculations of safety margins..and in economy and political science it is called risk and has its own comprehensive calculations as in any kind of project..

No they are not because these is no free speech to cast a vote weather they agree or disagree with the clown prince

Most of the Saudis know he is hypocrite and against Islam unless they are athiests or hypocrites like him

MbS is a true reformer unlike that roohani

Yes turn coats are always true reformers in the eyes of those who own them. Tell him to give his people the right to choose their leader and you'll find out what a true reformer he is. If having the right to own whore houses was the reform people wanted you would not have any women left in india.

The end of saudi regime will be on his hands in the past the saudi regime convinced their donkeys that they are the guardians of Islam now what's their execuse???
That is exact point.
Why Arab peninsula people can not chose their leaders what like happening in Iraq and Egypt???
He is opening Pandora box. Modern society needs Modern ruling system as well otherwise every thing will collapse badly.

.
You guys are praising a guy who never faced a real challenge until now.
Wait and see if he's capable to deal with the repercussions of his policies adequately. Soon a group of people/movement/organization/party will dare to defy him and this will be the moment of truth for him and his power.
Even if that happens he seems eager to crush any opposition to his reforms

Also he did great things by destroying Wahhabism and spread of liberalism, secularism and atheism Among Saudis

As why Saudis can't chose their leaders because they are tribal an no one could unite them expect al saud with Wahhabism if al saud used liberalism they could never rule over them also each tribe doesn't expect to be ruled by another tribe and if their is an elections everyone will bit for the man from his tribe or region and not for how fit he is

They would vote for a criminal from their tribe over a doctor or engineer from other tribe

I do not understand your post but I think like you, fighting against Wahhabism is good thing that he is doing.

Pushing generation from one extreme to another it means more terrorism. people on right will be in majority and leftist will have goverment support its going to be big clash just like assad government a small minority is ruling and killing millions of millions innocent muslims.

.
There was no seperation of men and women in Prophet's time with wall or curtain just different rows

. .
@The SC , what kind of gender mixing it is going to be? UAE model? I know, it isn't going to be like what people think.

.
Mixing of genders during prayers is dead against the sunnah of our Holy Prophet pbuh.
Sexist spotted.

Well he is actually moving the country from extreme left to extreme right right now. KSA is a communist country just like venezuela.

MBS is turning it to capitalism which is right wing not left.

I am pretty sure MBS hates socialists and communists with passion.
