For an apartment? I think it would be in Gulshan, around Tk. 80,000 (Rs. 53,333) per sq ft. But I could be wrong because the real estate sector is booming and all statistics become obsolete pretty fast.

I'd not pay a dime to live in Dhaka considering what I gather from Internet about the city. The culture is very conservative, there is virtually no public transport system and owning a car means zilch in midst of rickshaw galore. 1. There is no decent movie hall and latest movies are not released in couple of multiplexes they have etc etc. 2. No nightclubs, bars, pubs how do you guys actually entertain yourselves?

1 - Yes there are decent movie theaters and multiplexes. Maybe not as many as in Kolkata?

2 - We don't drink. And it's not the only form of entertainment. You need to learn to respect our lifestyle, cousins!

4200 BDT per week is almost 12000 Rs per month, which is affordable to any middle class in Calcutta

You wont even get a shiitty rented apartment for 12000/month. Minimum 20K for a 3 bedroom fairly decent 3 bed apartment rent.

You are crazy. Who the hell wanted a old apartment when new ones are getting delivered every day for the same price?? Even getting a bank loan for a used apartment not easy.

These are all 2nd hand apartments. I will buy it any day for 40 lacs 3 bedroom apartment in Lake City if you could offer me one brand new.

The second one said "brand new apartment" in description. Misleading!
