Saudi preacher says Women 'provoke men to rape and harass them'.

Quranic verses also command women to dress properly. And if lesser women will dress inappropriately, they will become victims of lesser men.

simple logic, isn;t it?
So if a woman leaves her home dressed inappropriately and with all the makeup and what not to attract lesser men, because of course better men will keep their gaze lower. Then is she not inviting those "lesser men" to make her a victim, be it victimizing by harassing, or staring, and so on?

A woman who understands her own respectful status and her own sacred value, and understands she is not the flesh but the one underneath. Will she be interested in showing off to lustful men? Is it not only the lesser women who are too hungry for attention towards their physical self-are the ones who will dress inappropriately?

Please try and understand the wisdom behind these lines and perhaps you will get closer to the wisdom of God behind things, and perhaps the perspective of this preacher.

"I said to my rose-cheeked lovely, “O you with bud-like mouth,
Why keep hiding your face, like flirting girls?”
She laughed and said,
“Unlike the beauties of your world,
In the veil I’m seen, but without it I’m hidden."
You have failed to decipher the simplest Qurani verse which commands men to lower their gaze irrespective of women attire.
You are ready to blame women for rape if lesser men assault them on a pretext of that "Women want/provoke it" without taking into account that women in abbayas have been raped, kids and infants have been raped by these lesser men while the attire of the victim was not "provocative" in remote sense.
Please do not propel unsubstantiated claims as a command of God.

. .
Have you forgotten about this Verse?

“Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and protect their private parts. This is more purer for them. Indeed Allah is Well-Aware of what they do.” (Surah Nur: 30)

“And those who guard their private parts save from their wives – so there is no blame upon them. Then whoever seeks beyond that (which is lawful), they are the transgressors.” (Surah Al Mu’minoon : Verse 5 & 6)

“And as for him who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from lust, verily Jannah will be his abode.” (Surah Al Naazi’aat: verse 40 & 41)

Looks like our Imam hasn't been reading his Qu'ran.

You need to quote me in full to have a meaningful conversation otherwise the discussion will not make sense.

Ofcourse Quran mentioned very clearly for men to lower to gaze. Also mentioned that woman is men biggest tempation:

"Alluring for all people/mankind are the love of charms: women, children, gold and silver treasures piled up high, horses with fine markings, livestock and farmland, these may be the joys of this life - but Allah has the best place to return to". (Qur'an 3:14)

Also:

“Say to the believing women that: they should cast down their glances and guard their private parts (by being chaste)…”

And:

“...and not display their beauty except what is apparent, and they should place their khumur over their bosoms...”

And
“O Prophet! Say to your wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers that: they should let down upon themselves their jalabib.

Bottom line is, it takes two to tango. Quran has been clear about this.

While rapist should be put to sword, no doubt, womenfolk need to realize which path they are going as well. Most men including me would agree that its impossible to ignore and not notice the exposed skin and curves in opposite sex which is becoming more obvious in the name of fashion with passage of time. The "lowering of gaze" can work in the environment where decency in adopted, not in the surroundings where women are dressing up in a way to attract men attention, not going to work, no.

.
The vast majority of men go about their day interacting with women, most of whom are dressed "immodestly" by Saudi standards, YET they don't rape them. It's only the perverts who rape women. Has a woman wearing purdah ever been raped? If so can someone explain why? You people should be ashamed of yourself for using the Quran to justify this behaviour.

I need a Middle Eastern newspaper or article to believe anything a Mullah has said against women in general.

Stepfeed is not good enough in my opinion.

What does this have to do with women deserving to be raped for dressing wrong? Exactly... nothing.

“Say to the believing women that: they should cast down their glances and guard their private parts (by being chaste)…”

So this means they deserve to be raped? NOPE.

“...and not display their beauty except what is apparent, and they should place their khumur over their bosoms...”

And
“O Prophet! Say to your wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers that: they should let down upon themselves their jalabib.

Neither of these quotes or any other has any correlation with the argument at hand. It is telling women to be chaste the same way it tells men to be chaste. Nowhere in the Qur'an does it ever say that if you dress "wrong" then you deserve to be raped.

Nice try but you can't blame women for being raped. If they didn't want it, then they didn't want regardless of whether they showed off their elbows or not.

Quran Chapter 24, verse 24 says “those who accuse chaste, unwary, believing women are cursed in this world and the Hereafter.”

What non sense.

That is why I TOLD you to quote me in full. Are you not reading??

What is not going through your head when I said that rapists need to be put to sword?

Understand what was said before honking your rubbish and preconceived ideas.

No! There can be no justification when a man behaves immorally......that is unless the woman dresses to attract gazes, appreciation and immoral advances. Because if that is her will and intention, she will get exactly that. On the contrary, a pious woman, a moral woman would react to such a phenomenon and will adapt accordingly.
A load of Malarkey.
So according to you, no matter how a woman dresses, if it provokes your desires (which she or her dressing has nothing to do with in the first place) it is still a woman's fault?

They are the MOST fundamental requirement, after food. That they are humans does not absolve their necessity or requirement. And if the current trend of ratio in population continues in favor of men where there are less women to each man then our fights, our battles and our wars will once again be fought for women.
That is the shittiest train of thought, the worst piece of thinking about women I have encountered. Why are they a necessity? How do you even justify that retarded way of thinking is beyond me!
They could be, but the number of cases would be relatively low.
Really? You have no aptitude for numbers and statistics, let alone awareness to what actually happens!
A person in US/UK has different morals to a person in Europe, similarly people in Africa or Asia would have different morals. To me the definition of a morally dressed woman would be different to a person in some other region. It is subjective and relative.
Again very absurd and turdish peice of talk.
So a Muslim, who is well settled in the west and adapted to the lifestyle here has a different set of morals from one who has settled in KSA and adapted their customs and traditions?
See the contradiction of your statement?
Perhaps it is now time to let the adults talk?
Yes. Now scoot and go play ball with your friends!

. .
Time to cleanse the gene pool...

In all seriousness, whilst some women don't exactly help themselves by how they dress, that's no excuse to rape them.

The blame falls upon the rapist. We can only advise women to be more cautious.

.
I've been reading everyone's post, and pretty disgusted how some could justify rape. So let me add clarification to the matter and my 2 cents.

A rape is a forceful act of sexual abuse which takes place without consent - be it emotional, physical or date rape. No means a NO.

Regarding a females attire, it may possibly 'attract' but does it justify or allow a rape? No. Blaming the victim of a crime is the stupidest thing.

Rape doesn't always fall upon attire, not so long ago a child (girl) who was at a bazaar in Pakistan was molested. Wait for it, she was criticised for her clothing, I'd like to point out this girl is 8. Can you tell me how an 8yr old could possibly scheme on luring a dirty old sexually frustrated fob at the counter, purely on the basis of she wore Western clothes?

Not so long ago in Americaa girl in the name of Nabra Hassanen was raped and murdered, let me also point out she was dressed in a full long Islamic attire.

Rape doesn't always equate to a females clothing. Has someone ever considered it may have something to do with:

- incorrect upbringing
- criminal record
- no ethics, moral or values in place
- a sense of kick of empowerment over Women
- anti-social tendencies
- wrong crowd.

Please tell me more how it's a Woman's fault? :)

I hope these people come to UK in summer and see for themselves what they can do....
guys seems to confuse fantasy/strong sexual urge.. with reality... most of us.. including those here who say men are rapey when they see revealing women.. will not commit such crime..
people who say men rape and harass women everywhere... its true but with strong law and order, and ethics taught by parents... it can be reduced a lot....

Does logic escape you or you like escaping logic on purpose?
I put a video up there to enlighten you with the responsibilities of women towards their own selves as well as their ability to create havoc and lust in vile men.

I fully understand the need for men to lower their gaze
And a man who does not do that is a big *** culprit and no one is saying he is not or men are not responsible. There are very sorry excuses and savage minded folk in the skin of men roaming in between us.

But at the same time a woman who fails to fullfil her side of things and runs around half naked even when fully covered, is still responsible for the attention of vile and indescent men towards her no?

So how is she not a culprit not only for the wrong attention towards her own self but other women who are more descent?

No one is acquitting men of their wrong, not even the preacher in OP post and if he is then he is wrong. But at the same time you can't acquit the indescent women too willing to show off their curves for the wrongs that happen to them or other women because of them.

The bottom line is don;t say the women who dress inappropritely are "not responsible" for the corruption in society. Because they are and Quran puts it out very clearly in several verses.
You started off claiming that the attire of women "doesnt matter" and thats a very wrong statement both logically and Islamically.

All these problems will be solved if all women just become tobacco chewing lesbians.........

You argument revolves around a notion that only women in "Indecent/objectionable" clothes are raped which is contrary to data present. I specifically mentioned kids and infants for a reason yet you are trying to dilute a rapist's act by shifting the blame on victim.
Do not speak of logic when your basic understanding of rape is flawed. There is no binary here clothes are no clothes, only a rapist will find ways to rape his victim.
I'm outta here.
