Saudi diplomat thrashed in Delhi park

The Saudi diplomat did not deserve to be beaten. He obviously made an honest mistake.

But I have to be honest, when I read the article what came to my mind was the hundreds if not thousands of menial workers from South Asia in Saudi Arabia who have been beaten, killed and abused with impunity by the Saudis. The Saudi government has done nothing for them except side with the abusers.

So as I understand no christian has ever been killed in your country by hindu extremists, no churches been burned, no muslim killed?

if you want to compare apples to apples, we are both rotten apples that fell from the same branch

Yes. They do happen and no country is immune to such activity including r@pe.

Agree with the second part of your post. But at least in India, as I see it, those affected can be able to fight back (through law, institutions, organizations and society in itself). There are so many cases and convictions for such atrocities (if you look deeply without the anti-Indian blinkers). Can the same be said for the forced conversion/kidnap cases. Although I should appreciate the response to recent Christian killings from Pakistani liberal society. Hope this leads to repeal the discriminatory laws.

I have no disagreement there but I have to point out that even in the current situation the justice is equal for all in Pakistan regardless of religion and that is "No justice for anyone"

Haha... I had the same feeling for India, during my college years with a small correction '...except the elites (political/financial)'.

This is a Hate crime and the Dog story is being used to justify it.

This diplomat guy I suppose is not a new enterant in India. He has been living here for quiet sometime, hence I am not able to understand why this issue started now. Moreover I suspect this is first time he is having his dog for a nice Delhi's winter walk. I have a feeling this diplomat guy must have been taking his dog at earlier occasions as well for poo in the park and whenever someone stopped him, he always had argued and hide behind his diplomatic immunity. This might be the threshold of RWA and they must have scolded him big hand. Also there are many questions in the story.

Why the dog didnt react when his master was given a thrashing?
Why no one else interfered?
The colony mentioned in one of the diplomatic enclave and properties around it are owned by very well to do people from government to business class, hence this kind of manhandling is not easy and that too with diplomat is not digestible as everyone there is very much aware of immunity of a diplomat.
