Saudi began supplying anti-aircraft missiles to Syria rebels

I see people in this thread and the forum often wonder about Russia's puzzling stance on Syria. Its probably a combination of factors:

1. large number of Russian wives of Russian educated Alawaite and Christian Syrians (upto 50,000?) in higher echelons of the regime
2. the above solidifies the tie between former-KGB Mafia regime of Putin with Mullah-IRGC mafia in Iran with Alawite Mafia's of Syria. This clique has two willing cohorts, Shia's of Lebanon under Nasrlallah and Shia's of Iraq (under Maliki)
3. in the long term, Iran is important for Russia, as extending their influence to the warmer ports in the South is the centuries long goal of Russian empire (Romanov's). Pakistan and Afghanistan is still distant, Turkey is in NATO, only Iran is friendly enough and its Shia extremism has no effect on Sunni Central Asian 'stans, who are more vulnerable from Sunni version of extremism (Salafism).

So in effect, it is all about Iran, Russia is playing along this game, regardless of end results, just to show to Iranians, that they are with them? Till the very end?

Just food for thought for people who are thinking on this issue.

Sad… No, that has nothing surprising. It do ‘1352 years’ that they are trying continually to dominate us - want the rebirth of a Persian empire -.

Majority naive Arab Sunnis - or uncultivated - just want to pretend everything go well before.

it would not make things any less brutal if the Islamism was brought in using home made weapons.

Don't hate the weapons but the ideology of hate also known as "idiot-ology".

That was not my point.

Point being even to fight we need to buy weapons from some one else. thus giving them business.

We are so dumb, so far away from science, so far away from reasoning ...

It is just too sad.

It only makes sense, that we kill each other. The planet belongs to White people.
We have no right to this planet.

Don't be so harsh Salman. You have a point. But take note of this. In the last 10.000 years then 9.500 of those years have belonged to us Middle Eastern people/South Asian when it comes to civilizations, advancements etc. This first really changed after 1500.

It will change again. Don't worry. We have the history, manpower, resources, potential etc. What we need are efficient governments, education and more education again.

Just look at all of those thousands of successful Arabs, Pakistanis, Iranians, Indians, Bengalis, Africans, Latinos and other non-whites in the West. Who says that they could not contribute with the same if they had stayed in their homelands or if the opportunities back home for success were as good?

I am hopeful for the future and so should you be, my friend.

I some times wonder ... after I die

God asks me, the native jungle people did not become Muslims .. because my character was not worthy of example ..

God will ask me what I have done for his mission .... between the sex and vehicles .. where is me ?

It will get better. The state of our nation is not the best, I admit that, but at least the Peninsula is moving forward very fast. I really hope that this will spread to the remaining Muslim world.

That inferiority complex will do us no good. Trust me. It will only take us down. Personally I never had it and have absolutely no reason for that. I am a very proud Muslim and Arab and I will die as one no matter what happens. We should be conscious about our problems and try to speak out against them in a constructive manner but not lose faith. I know that it is easier said than done. As a half Yemeni I have lost hope time and time again for Yemen only to hit myself really hard in the head to come back to normality and realize that not many other people would have survived such things and still progress albeit slow.

Compare our situation 100 years ago to that of now. Tell me. Are we better off or worse off?

This is what I have tried so many times to explain the root case in multiple posts

Your use of "we are so dumb" is one of those root causes.

The confusion with the false premise like "we are so dumb" means the solution will always be wrong.

In fact such statements give rise to the Islamists and the anarchy in the name of Islamism.

If we have to use your statement, it should be completed as:

--- We (the Pakistanis) are so dumb, that bunch of Mullahs from Iran and from Arabian lands can abuse us, and misuse us and take away our brain, that we start behaving like mindless TTP, or Alawites, or Ansarallah.

Hope this helps.

.
It will get better. ....?

provided we quit behaving like medieval and primitive people.

Compare our situation 100 years ago to that of now. Tell me. Are we better off or worse off?

In case of Pakistan, we were much more progressive and positive.

We have regressed to petty Islamism imported from Ayatullahs and Mullahs now.

So the graph is going down and not up.

As we are adding even more Islamism, more hijabs, and more burqas by the day.

This behavior is very similar to the medieval Christians.

Christians improved only when the got rid of this drama this false. religiosity.

Not sure I agree with you. How many literate people did Pakistan have 100 years ago or rather the territories of British India that are Pakistan now? 1-5% of the population? How many can read and write now? At least 60% from my knowledge if not more. Pakistan is a atomic power. Major regional and Muslim power.

In a mulitcultural and young nation as Pakistan that is less than 66 year old such problems are bound to happen. KSA and the GCC are largely conservative and surely Islamic countries and societies but we are still moving forward on all fields. Arguably more than anyone else in the Muslim world. The rise that we have seen has not been seen in many other places in the world in the last 100 years or so.

There is a difference between upholding customs, religion, culture etc. and having dumb and reactionary rulers who isolate your country. Take a look at Iran for example.

Pakistanis should follow their local clerics first and foremost. Foreigners should only be used as inspiration. Lastly the Pakistani government should be powerful enough to lead its people. You are not a Djibouti after all but a atomic power and a country with a population of nearly 200 million people!

@Zarvan

Hur does 'not' refer to 'any particular' gender. Its one of a kind word like the word 'Allah' which doesn't depict any particular gender or else.

The very notion of '72 virgins' is a false fabrication as both of those words don't come together in any particular verse,in the context of heaven, nor does the word 'Huris' comes in with the above in any particular verse and in any context.

Stop following in Mullahs footsteps rather than using the book as an open source.

sir hour refers to women sir and 72 number comes from hadees and sir this has been agreed by all great scholars for past 1400 years it was that fitna of pervaiz Ahmed who refused it because he was always looking to please seculars

yara Zarvan, if you want to fork 72 hoors, do so to your hand's capacity, but please do not fork this thread.

Thanks you.

Please go ahead and open a new thread with appropriate title like
"Zarvan believes in forking 72 hoors" or
"Zarvan believes in suicide bombing of 72 innocent Pakistanis so the he could fork 72 hoors"

or something along these lines.

Like your optimism dear dear poster.

--- I didn't mean to express pessimism about Pakistan or another country.
--- Instead it was meant as a lessons learned from the past. (like what not to do again).

Coming back to the thread,

For Syria, Saudi Arabia should not supply AA missiles to the rebels. or in fact any other weapons.

FSA has miserably failed to establish a unified front, and that means, in case of the fall of Damascus, we may see what happened in Kabul in post-Soviet days.

Instead Saudi Arabia should supply Air force and Pakistan, Egypt, indonesia, Bdesh should supply ground troops in Syria.

They are getting finance and weapons, but they need more well-trained fighters at their side.

Everyone was ready and eager to invade Libya because of their personal reasons. No one had empathy with Libyans, they just wanted their oil supply to be resumed without any gaps.

But in Syria, everyone claims to sympathize with the FSA in the media and least care about anyone because there isn't any direct threat to them. Few countries support Assad to keep their weapon supplies intact and generate money off blood-bathing of innocent civilians.

.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Saudis sent a few teams of SpecFor into Syria to train, coordinate and fight along side the FSA, like Jordan did in Libya. Same goes with France and the UK.
