Most of the weapons in the deal are defensive, that is the purpose of buying them to be used in the defence of Saudi Arabia and the GCC through coordination of efforts..
But more important is the transfer of technology involved and the strategic alliances with Major US weapons manufacturers and technology leaders apart from another $240 billion for acquiring the necessary modern know-how in civilian technologies, infrastructure, education, R&D and technological solutions in all fields of engineering...etc

I don't remember, Yemen conflict should have given them some experience also they ain't going to do well in a war without a navy..... and guess what we Pakistan don't even have a good navy.

Don't you think KSA has focused a lot on their air force, and not their navy, I would say that a navy is more important in projecting power... Their navy seems neglected.
