I see some serious problems coming for Turkey. Because the prefered method of overthrowing al-Assad has been the arming, training and funding of international Jihadists. The FSA is a joke. I read there are about 20000 foreign Jihadist in Syria and Iraq today. A lot of them came through Turkey and some of them were even armed and trained in Turkey.
Now one of two things will happen. Either these Jihadist win then Turkey will have a Jihadistan on its border and the 1,7 million Syrian refugees inside Turkey will become something of a permanent feature. Or these Jihadist will lose. In that case when their "caliphate" is destroyed these foreign fighters will scatter. They will try to go out the same way they came in which is through Turkey. Then Turkey will be stuck with thousands of battle hardend Jihadist inside its borders. You add to that mix the Syrian refugees and the malcontented Kurds and you will have a explosive mix. Now were did we see all this before of course in Pakistan in the 1980's where they supported the Mujahideen in Afghanistan against the Soviets.
