Saudi Arabia is dying and I'm afraid they will become desperate in the coming years.

1) they are loosing all their cards in the region. Mubarak's gone, Bahrain is being "lost" to the shias. Iraq is now being run by shias allied with Iran. Pakistan is taking care of the taliban. Tunisia, Jordan etc...

2) Oil is running out and they have nothing to replace it with.

i) there are 25 mil ppl there but 5 mil are foreigners. That leaves 20 mil. Half of those are women and they are not even allowed to drive. That leaves 10 mil.

now this is where it gets real interesting

3) For now they have oil to bring in the skilled workers and maids. when it runs out, they won't have ANYBODY to even run a soap factory.

I am 100% sure KSA has a worse future than Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe even has a higher literacy rate. They also have non-oil resources and exceedingly cheap labor. 1 month's wages cost less than a can of coke there, you can do a hell of alot with wages that low. Saudis have priced themselves out of the cheap labor market, they're killing their future with their education system, and they've effectively reduced the economic potential of their country in half by imprisoning their women.

Soap? They won't even have food, much less soap.

What I don't understand is why Pakistani's are so in love with these Saudis (not all of you but there are many Pakistani Saudi lovers which is down right weird cuz they are more loyal towards KSA than native Saudis). They treat everybody except whites like garbage. South East Asians are treated worse than everyone.

Not all Pakistani's are in love with Saudi's, infact till about late 70's, Pakistani's used to have a low opinion about the arabs in general because we had to help them out in every field and we set them up.

A Pakistani graduate student at my college, even affected Arab dress from time to time and bragged that he had taught Arabs how to fly planes.

My college-mate was merely reprising Z A Bhutto’s philosophy: the Arabs were rich but they were camel drivers. They needed Pakistanis to run the world for them and to teach them Western ways. It was this sort of thinking that led to the creation of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI), the first global Third World bank, run by Pakistanis with Arab money.

It wasn't until Pakistan started to tilt more towards the Middle Eastern nations for support when the GoP at the time when Pakistan grew distant from the western nations especially US.

I don't think much of many other Muslim nations except for a few of them with whom we share a close cultural and historical identity or good relations. I also work with Saudi's and trust me, none of this treatment that many speak of will be ever aimed at me. I am not some 'yes sir' kind of guy and many Pakistani's I know are the same. Its only the ones who have been bombarded with propaganda since the 80's who feel like the arabs are something worth respecting.

Why would enlightened souls here, run down all arabs(especially the persians and turks).What you say about arabs, were also attributed to us Indians(by our colonizers), but after independence I think we are doing quite well.

I agree.
Most ordinary Arabs are victims of their tyrannical and incompetent government. The sad part is that, even when these governments plan for the future, they fall prey to their colonial mentality and hire Western consultants who give them bullshit advice. Dubai wants to be a tourism destination. Who in their right mind thinks of a hot searing desert as their first choice for a vacation destination?

Decades from now, when Saudis look back, they will remember the Royal Family as traitors. Same for the other dictatorships.

Having oil reserve is nothing until it becomes commercially viable to extract oil from it. North Pole has huge reserve of oil and gas.

I'm not going to lie, my first response was going to be "they were Persians and Indians". In the past, they may have been great, borrowing a great deal from Turks, Persians and Indians of course, but in the modern era, they are divided and unindustrialized. It is fact that without oil, Arab countries will literally starve to death - they can only grow something like 15% of their food.
