Saudi Arabia to be third member in CPEC, 10$ Billion Package

Someone is already feeling the pressure!

Saudis have gone too far in their cajoling of west, they need someone to walk them through out of hole. For Iran, they needs to support this initiative as in long run, this will end a lot of leverages America got over SA. Patience is the key.
Who benefits from exhorbitant oil prices?

Answer: OPEC billionnaires.

Who suffer from exhorbitant oil prices?

Answer: much of the world.

US attempted to break monopoly of OPEC with Shale Revolution and provided much relief to the entire world (cost of fuel went down even in Pakistan), but OPEC have found a way to manipulate global macro-economics once again. This is not good.

---

I tell you one thing: US - Saudi relations have a stabilizing effect. Should this relationship go down the drain, we will see REAL WAR in which billion+ will die. And Pakistan won't be standing either.

Allah Almighty stabilizes this world in ways which many simply do not understand. Countries should be careful in how they maneuver, in current times.

Saudi aren't stupid by the way. They are trying to diversify their economy which make sense because Saudi understand that OPEC is trouble in the long-term. FYI: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...ves-ambitious-plan-to-move-economy-beyond-oil

Saudi joining CPEC is good for Pakistan, and also a step towards its own economic diversification.

Saudi - Iran alliance? Forget it.

Iran in significant trouble.

I am not interested in oil prices but what Trump said about protecting middle eastern countries and how they don't stand a chance without American support, and goes on saying that "we will remember ". One interesting point, opec is not sole ME domain there are many countries in it. So why pick on ME? And which ME countries America supposedly protects? It's SA right? what trigger this outburst at this time? Timing is very important. Just after IK visit where SA became strategic partner in CPEC. So you tell me what is SA utility in CPEC? They are not industrial nation but biggest oil producer, so naturally Saudi participation is all about energy. And just today china/Russia vs America relations took another nose dive after so called American sanctions on China for purchasing Russian arms. And then American sidekick India canceling FO meeting on absolutely non sensical grounds and using undiplomatic language against PM of Pakistan.

You have to look at bigger picture. It seems IK visit to ME and it's repercussions , feels like he has step over on quite few tails in one go. One thing I noticed that ISI cheif was shadowing him throughout.

If I were a KSA policy maker: it's a time to panic!!! They won't stop till the street fights inside the Haremain!!! Haven't they already lined up all the plausible actors and blackmailing KSA/UAE???? For example they're now compelled to fund PKK/YPG, who fight against Turkey!!!! By the by, losing US bonds is the least price to pay for the KSA!!!!

My friend,

Trump's tweet in relation to OPEC only: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/09/21/sau...e-between-trump-and-fellow-oil-producers.html

"Trump wants the Saudis to boost output to prevent oil prices from spiking as his administration restores sanctions on Iran, OPEC's third biggest producer and Riyadh's chief regional rival. If Saudi Arabia had any doubts about Trump's expectations, the president reminded OPEC in an early morning tweet on Thursday."

Saudi Arabia is doing its best to diversify its economy by 2030 (this is the ultimate objective of Prince Muhammad Bin Salman). Saudi do not want to be between the sea and rocks. Salman is a visionary much like IK.

CPEC is safe! Pakistan just need to stay clear from Iran at this juncture, and attempt to normalize relations with US (Pompeo's visit have left the door open towards this end).

Yes! I have noticed other developments. Russia is subject to powerful sanctions since it invaded Ukraine in 2014; cannot do anything about this.

India has stakes in Iran - would be interesting to see how this pan out after the M/o November. :sarcastic:

PTI-led government offered India an opportunity to normalize relations with Pakistan, but the SUPA POWA syndrome have eaten into Indian brain cells. They think that they can have their cake and eat it too, but this never work out.

And oil needs whole petrochemical infrastructure and who knows more about it than Saudi??

So has the huge oil that was recently find been confirmed? Have the Saudis themselves announced large-scale investments as is being claimed?
