Because Bangladesh is a Muslim country whether you like it or not. Secularism means church (or equivalent) has no influence into political matters. And only in Christian nations it did in earlier years.

Joint statement of 34 countries.

Saudi Arabia on Tuesday announced the formation of a 34-state Islamic military coalition to combat terrorism, according to a joint statement published on state news agency SPA.

"The countries here mentioned have decided on the formation of a military alliance led by Saudi Arabia to fight terrorism, with a joint operations centre based in Riyadh to co-ordinate and support military operations," the statement said.

A long list of Arab countries such as Egypt, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, together with Islamic countries Turkey, Malaysia, Pakistan and Gulf Arab and African states were mentioned.

Even then, such a coalition cannot be formed legally. Military coalition need much more that just a joint statement.

A military coalition of 34 countries.....Led by KSA......seriously....

This can only be a a form of a pact between countries to assist each other to combat terrorism, but nothing more than paperwork.

I don't think that SPA is the source to issue such a statement involving a military coalition of 34 countries.

We cant deny if any monetary assistance is provided. After all we are also member of OIC. We wont leave a chance to increase our global presence. And we long have maintained ourselves in overseas duties. Military presence in Islamic countries in Syria against Israel, In Lebanon as UN peace troops, Sudan as UN, In Qatar, Kuwait as per their requirement, In gulf war on International side. And lastly if no money is provided we will keep on doing duty in BD to keep in check Islamic radicals in home

Iran can never become a US ally. It rivals not only Saudi Arabia but also Turkey, who themselves are NATO members and vital to stop Russian Navy making it towards the Mediterranean at times of war.

First of all my agenda to ease both GCC and Iran. But if you insist on choosing between the two or you sue me then my take is on GCC. But we will think of long term implication also. Like we chose to go against Iraq on side of Kuwait and Int community. But chose to be neutral on Iraq Iran war. We condemn Houthis but ask quickly stop crisis in Syria tilting towards UN recognized gov. And we never recognized Kosovo though its a Muslim country, wont defy Russia. And for Palestine dont recognize Israel.
