Yeah, no. A vast majority of satanists are just atheists, nothing more. While there are satanists who do believe in satan, that doesn't really reflect majority opinion.

People do these funny things because they want themselves free of religious boundaries. It does not mean that they literally worship devil.
They show their disgust towards religion by committing such acts.

Anton LeVey, the founder of church of Satan encouraged acts like homosexualism, abortion, fornication which are considered sins and distasteful acts in conservative circles. But still, a question arises that to encourage such acts, was there any need to establish a dedicated "church"(cult) ?
