Sariki Movement in Punjab after Bengal and Balochistan..Do you Support it?

Personally, I don't see this being a definitive issue right now given the multiple problems we're facing. There is (as with all these announcements), politics at play. Never is such a decision taken for the benefit of the common man.

On a wider sense, it simply leads to further fragmentation of the nation, which I don't think is the best thing for Pakistan. We're already experiencing sectarian and ethnic violence, so how does this help?

It will simply spur those in the north west to campaign for a Hazara province, and that will again damage the unity of the nation IMO.

I don't have anything against the creation of provinces as such, which are properly managed, and where resources are shared equally. However, I see this being a step too far for our people where corruption is rife, and personal interest rules over improving the lives of the masses.

I believe we become more weak because of the internal issues then the external...I can't understand the media's role...If to solve a terrible problem spanning with the creation of Pakistan then what else needed to be solved....problem has remained for here for ever and by just arrognatly ignoring that we are busy with these issues and can't hear this then this become a blast brother at the end of day....as the medias is occupied 46% by punjabis and while other provinces are having their problems so media is not supporting and doing injustice...I ever loved a HASBE HAAL program but I hated once when they reported about the
Gilani saying that 'History will never forgive us if we don't create a Sarikie province' then Mr. Azizi hypocrytically spoke a couple of shows befoer that we are having electricity problem, we are having loadshedding problem ,we are having corruption problem...How can you ignore a huge population demands just by telling them arrogantly that we are having this more imporatant issue to solve first...AT LEAST HEAR THE PROBLEM....At least fellow Pakistanis who love other Pakistanis (I suppose) can say it is a problem...there should be million way to solve this....WHAT IF we resume MULTAN as a capital of Punjab like it was as GOLDEN SPARROW centries before? I'm sure it will be not accepted...then how it was accepted when it was withdrawn? For 65 years Lahore has ruled over Sariki belt ...now give for two years Multan a chance I suppose?

this is nothing but an election stunt of PPPP to win few extra seats .... people are on the roads protesting against loading shedding & against high living cost.... instead of addressing these issues they are busy doing ethnic politics... shame

Talk to the common Siraiki guy on the street and he doesn't give a flying rats behind about Siraiki sooba, all they say is acha hai banjaye agar sab ke ban rahay hain for administrative purposes.

I asked a colleague of mine who is a Siraki, his response was something like of disgust at the what all characters are on the front of it - all frauds and looters.

If you want to make one, make it for administrative purpose and call it Sooba #1, Sooba #2, Sooba #3. Forget names too. I am all up for it.

I do strongly agree to split Balochistan in three and any other where it makes sense and a cause...By spliting Punjab would make a sense that at least it is huge imbalanced population in relation to other provinces...by making Sarikies would give a positive competion among other provinces. first of all a bit balance in population among provinces.Sindh province would contribute 15% then Sarikies would contribute 13% of population and too big imbalanced Punjab population would get to 46%...Actually I believe if possible we should split Punajab in three provinces (so ratio of population go all balanced).......I believe it will help Pakistan as then resources distribution(such as problem of floor, coal, electricity with respect to proportion would go otherwise upper punjab get more would be equal...there will be no one manadated government from Punjab always as 15% people would be in another container ...and it will make in some...we actually need some parameter to revise the logical boundaries of our provinces...
While sitting in UK you pass remarks on local politics which does not make sense at all. Since the seraikis for time being live in the provience of Punjab therefore the offical language of provience will be taught. It is the rule nothing to do with Punjabi dominance this is the stupid assumptions many people have

Between Province is possible NOW or NEVER, as Zaradari and Gilani both are Sariki speaking and if they have opened eyes then they should do a justice within all provinces (our brothers)....Let's discuss the advantages of new provinces?

Now this is the height of stupidity I would expect from self appointed "Leading in exile" from UK.

Zardari is a Baluch and Gilani is Kashmiri.

Then if Serakis complained about being made to study Punjabi then what about those who happen to speak Seraiki despite being non-Seraiki???? This self nullifies your argument.

More provinces on administrative basis instead of linguistic and ethnic basis. And the need of hour for Pakistan is to carve out more economic cities. it is unfair that Baluch make the smallest percentage of Pakistan population but holding back the largest land mass of Pakistan and that too it has become a personal backyard of few landlords.

This all is IMO a move to get votes. The Southern Punjabis will say, ay dekho, gilan nay sanu apna sooba day ditta hai, sada tay vote enhun hi janda hai. And more votess from the south.

In short, I support more provinces on administration , not more on the basis of language.

Baoon vote milsoo.

This pissed me off so much. My city will now be in Saraiki province instead of what it is, which is Punjab.

.
But y do you want more Provinces I cant see any reasons except Political . More Provinces means more Govt ministries means more corrupt people means more downfall means more economic meltdown means more inflation means more poverty .

And these MEANS goes on .

And finally more division among Nation.

I agree

The name Siraiki sooba promotes the division of Pakistanis into provincial people. Now, Hazara sooba, this ssoba , that sooba etc etc.

Why can't we call it Multan province or something like that.

Baoon vote milsoo.

Tusi wi vote ich julso?

I have a better control on pahari, punjabi is a bit weak!!!

.
Zardari...cleverly super heading an actual election campaign before announcing the schedule publicly, Chankia Politics!!!

.
Instead of Saraikistan it should be called Janobi Punjab (South Punjab) province.

I already support the same for x, y, z...but then rule should apply for alll...as I remember a province was created recently Pakhtoonkha...already punjabi, sindhi, balochi, pashto having for the dedicated purpose then why so discrimination for
a majority one....
I've countless Sarikies who speaks differently who have suffered this discrepency....

Bulleh Shah is Punjabi poet. He was born in Uch which is Punjab. Not a Saraki province.

Seraiki people are ethnically Punjabi but speak a different language (which can also be considered a dialect of Punjabi..)
How true is that? My Dad was born and grew up in Rahim Yar Khan (native of Faisalabad) and still has contacts with his friends there. When asked how they feel about a Seraiki Suba, most of them are againt it, and so are most people around them.

Apparently the realities are quite different, and it's only Politicians pushing their own agendas forward by bring such (pointless) topics up
