Firstly , Everyone is free to post his view and that doesn't make me a kid for saying something you don't like / agree .
I just said Russians were not trust worthy and brought good examples .
Take a look on American equipments and the technology they gave us either by building things such as bases , sites , reactors , airports , etc or giving equipments .
Who cares about those retired Mig 29s that were almost dead when Russia sold us , Who cares about bunch of Tanks and BMPs that will not last even against initial anti tank weapons ?
You see Syrian Army , That's a good lesson for us . These Russians even didn't help their last and only ally in Arab world against Israel and pro US neighbors and That's why they're still operating 60's fighters and That's why their nuclear facilities were wiped by Israel due to not having reliable Air defense system or interceptor fighters and again that's why their T-72 tanks are butchered against rebels like a piece of cake .
Get a life man , No one gives a damn about the 1920's technology they gave to us .
They gave Shah Iran their best weapons, in the context of the cold war, Iran was the guardian of their main oil supplies from the whole middle east, and they feared a soviet invasion of the ME. The right word is that they sold high tech weapons to Iran to counter the soviets, it was a strategy and had nothing to do with reliability. They have proved not to be reliable as soon as Iran changed its system of governance to better the life of its people.
The soviets are reliable as long as you have cash to buy from them, or in todays circumstances some barter trade.
So at the end, both the US and Russia can be good friends if it fits their bill.
