He probably wants to promote universal Huawei technology. Or selling made in China stuff. Nobody should fall into the trap.

Most telecom carriers don’t need to build a new 5g network. The only thing they need is to upgrade the existing by adding five technologies: millimeter waves, massive Mimo, full duplex, small cells and beam forming.

AT&T can call their network whatever they want, they can call it 5GE or 5GX or 5GY or whatever, that is not the same as using 5G registered trademark. That just mean I name my network whatever I want. They have also done so during 3.5G HSPDA when they called them "4G", surprise you have not come out and say that.

It's different claiming a name and claiming capability.

I can call my network whatever I want, I can call it 6G or 10G if I wanted to, that mean nothing because that is a name. That is different than using 5G registered trademark (This logo)

ON a non-5G compatible equipment. Which is the same as if you misrepresenting your performance.

As I said, that have been done before and not just in the US, this is called "Marketing Gimmick"

Australia have a 4G LTE coverage of 79% and China have a 4G coverage of 74%, I am talking about land coverage not population coverage where China and Australia have a similar land mass
