hmmm.. not good enough in my opinion. I think pakistan should spend more money on air defence, we should have a mobile SAM platform which can be used at longer range, 100km and over

I think we do have the FT-2000 from the HQ-9 family of SAM system.

Spada 2000 --- 60 KM
HQ 2 ---- 40 KM

Unofficial sources claim we have HQ-9 with 100+ KM range but thats not confirmed..

That's what worries me, we get to excited over our Air Force that we forget there are other ways to counter IAf threat. And I don't think we should go for a stationary SAM platform, it will be vulnerable

You guys need a JV or TOT or something to build these in house. The IAF has a huge numerical superiority and this is a much easier response to manage that. You guys need to develop two integrated rings. One ideally mobile but medium range (for around the border to go hit inside the other territory by 30 miles or so. The other one long range and high altitude in a second ring placed well behind the border that can still hit out to the border and can also take care of high altitude bogies.
Then comes your current point defense Cortale, Man Pad systems for short range point defense interceptions, which won't be a whole lot useful if the enemy manage to cross the PAF and the two integrated SAM rings

What makes you think Army has not purchased HQ-9 or similar system if we can spend money on A-100 MRLS and other systems, HQ-9 or similar system could have been purchased in limited numbers. It could be surprise element for Neighbors.
