The Christians salvation is believing in Jesus dying on the cross for their sins etc.... they say Jesus has already saved them and erased their sins.

What is a Muslims salvation? Dying in the cause of Allah?

.
Worshipping Allah, doing good deeds and being a good person.

Jihad only happens when a Muslim country goes to war with an enemy.

Muslims will be judged for their deeds whether good or bad and you don't get a free pass to do whatever just because you become Muslim. You have to be a good person living a life according to the Sunnah of our sweet Prophet Muhammad(saww)

Starting business that can help a nation prosper
So you can properly fight your enemies

If you're a scientist do something that can help your nation, invent something new

Basically PC business karle paisa bana, kaam dhanda doondh...

Exactly, even if you do good deeds you are not guaranteed jannah you will still be judged. But dying in the cause of Allah you go straight to heaven.

So I would say our ultimate salvation is dying in the cause of Allah which he has prescribed for us.

That's all materialistic doesn't get you in good graces with Allah.

How are you sure your cause is for the pleasure of Allah. From what you have posted I would not want to be led by you in faith. Most Prophets of God were not killed in the cause of Allah. You need to think and ponder over the Quran, as Allah says. Its contextual and it's not only about dying for Allah. Don't misrepresent the faith.

I am genuinely curious. After the Prophet passed away, the wars that followed, are they called Jihad?

just be worthy of Allah's mercy. simple as that. disregard the christian concept of "atonement", its nothing more than a fancy way of saying that I can do whatever the hell I want cuz I've supposedly been "saved" from all the past, present and future sins. :what:

Say what? Dying because of spreading Allah's message isn't considered dying in His cause? That's new to me.

As for the cause you speak of, when America invaded Afghanistan we should've fought back. That would've been the ultimate cause of Allah. Even now millions of Muslims being persecuted because they believe in Allah, saving them isn't considered Allah's cause?

The ultimate cause is finding ways to go back to the creator. He sent us in this God forsaken place but also has given us options to return to him. He has given us enemies, He has given us Green light to fight these enemies.

But sadly most of the Muslims only wish this materialistic life they don't want to leave this place.

Muslims REALLY need to get over this concept of trying to "justify" everything that the Holy Prophet's (PBUH) companions did after he passed away. Keep live simple people, just know the Quran and the sunnah and make your decisions accordingly. Allah will not ask any muslim about the people of the past so stop following the people of the past save the Holy Prophet himself. simple as that. What the companions did and how they lived is theirs to answer for, not ours. Stop needlessly complicating your lives.

Jihad is a defensive struggle. we have been prescribed to fight and spread the Message of Islam. So technically those wars weren't Jihad, they were plain Ole fashioned offensive struggles.

Are you talking about living for the cause of Allah or dying for the cause of Allah. The latter is obviously about your politics.

I disagree. it is NOT merely a defensive struggle. It is a struggle for justice and equality as defined by Allah swt in The Holy Quran. christians were throwing those other christians to the loins for not believing in the council of nicea, they were discriminating against jews, and a bunch of other things; the same goes for the persian empires, you were basically a property of the persian king if you were in his empire, no rights what so ever, the king himself claimed to be persia itself...arrogant much? We have been commanded to stand up against that. So when the Holy Prophet (PBUH) sent out letters to accept Islam, it wasn't simply to just "become muslims" by believing in Allah and his final messenger, those letters were a demand to cease and desist from all injustice, perversions and wrong doings the persians and the roman christian empires were engaged in. That's why Dr. Israr Ahmed said that the belief in Islam was NOT spread by the sword but the Islamic system WAS spread by the sword and righly so. Rest assured, a lot of jews and a lot of women were glad that Muslims spread their Islamic system by the sword, otherwise who knows how many women would've been burnt at the stake just for being accused of "witchcraft". that crap continued up until 200 years ago even here in the american 13 colonies.

Islam is a political religion. So my politics align with Islam's politics.

So the people who were amongst the Prophet(saw) himself aren't a good example to follow? Who do you want us to follow the current Muslim leaders? Lol

That is blasphemy, you have not read the Quran with understanding. Islam is religion of submission in faith and worship to the unseen Creator.

Quran 49-13 O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Aware.

You are not a head of state. The Prophet governed Medinah by a written Constitution or Charter and he had the right to fight wars.
