But he claimed he was a messenger of god.He was a different type of baba from the ones we have in India.He set out to establish monotheism in his region and reform his society initially.Meccans asked him to perform miracles which he couldn't.Later in his life when he gained power he became ruthless and demanded of his followers complete obedience and submission (there is a hadith which says a true Muslim should love Muhammad more than his parents).He made a rule that he should get one fifth of the loot which his followers made and the best of the beauties to bed with him who were captured as war booties.Satya sai baba or any other godman is no different. As long as there are people who are ready to be fooled there would be people who would fool and exploit them.
