Not a supporter of donating extravagant amount to temples or gurus, to chuck it off your balance sheet to claim tax benefits.

So far as those who has the money and want donate does not think so, There is no problem Temples will receive donation and do philanthropic wotk.

Apparently, people with money thinks exactly the same way. If philanthropy is the true motive, then I'd be comfortable donating money which ensures total clarity and accountability on where my money is being spent, and it is improving the society.

If they did what they could, keeping in mind the enormous numbers of poor people, they would not have accumulated such vast sums.
