Murali was able to bowl all his variations even while wearing a plaster cast that prevented his arm from bending above the stipulated angle of 15 degrees. that's how he was able to clear that ICC biomechanical test.

As to whether he bends it more than allowed when playing though, is altogether a different matter.

That was a mistake IMO.

Actually no. On the initial citation, Murlidharan used medical experts to prove that he is not wrong. And for the 'Doosra' citation, ICC realized that it doesn't have any standard, hence the rework of laws. But now the rules have been standardized.
