SAARC Countries Bypass Pakistan to Sign Sub-Regional Motor Vehicle Agreement

What if in future Afghanistan and Iran decide to never let you enter their country. Time always change.
LOL that wont happen. Coz we have a mutual understanding with eachother over this. In all realism only Iran can do that but after our refusal to join the saudi Alliance that hope of yrs has faded away. BTW we already have decided to let them join PCEP. By which iran will extend the gas pipeline to China through Pakistan instead of India as originally was planned:lol:

Plus we also have a sub regional co-operation body called ECC which forms Pakistan-Iran-Turkey through which we are connected to europe by train. That train is called Gul Train. We also have a defense pact with them it was signed when their Pres Ahmadinejad last time visited Pakistan, under which we agreed not to allow our territory as a launching pad for any foreign aggressor like America used our territory to launch attacks on Afghanistan!

So kid if they do these things we also have cards to play and ensure that they remain in their right place. Pakistan as a Country aint some bingo mingo land like Afghanistan or Bangladesh its a regional power as well:azn:

With such intelligent analysis how can one ignore the simple facts like Europe and Iran insisting on extending infra to India and beyond. Or people like you still believe that World ends at Pakistan
Ostrich like approach never helps

.
its good for BD but if you put pakistan here its total lose sir think neutral please you will find out why we refuse . they are taking our central Asia Afghanistan Iran middle east turkey road link in return giving us nepal bangladesh and bhutan ?

Imran bhai, what do you expect India to do in this situation? Change the geography and provide direct access to US/EU instead of Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan?

Just to be clear, is Pakistan refusing the transit link for fear of economic loss that you mentioned above or for political purposes (sort of punishing India for its 'bad' behavior)?

.
Only for you it ends at Pakistan, and there is no such thing as beyond Pakistan in west.......... that's not all by the way, have you seen the brand spanking new maritime EEZ of Pakistan? Get ready to take a LOOOOOONG "D" route! :D

Pakistan is looking to join main bloc of nations and increase connectivity. Nobody in the world cares about mallu states. Have fun in dealing in potatoes and toyotas

.
Who cares about Indian lackey SAARC states when we have CPEC and Gawadar........ this isn't the 20th century, is it? It's time we lose the historic baggage! :D

Just so that I understand it, isn't it Pakistan who blocked the regional connectivity?

On one hand you want to deny/block SAARC regional connectivity (which is exactly why BBIN sub-regional connectivity came into existence) and OTOH, you want to lose historic baggage.

You are contradicting yourself mate!

An exclusive economic zone (EEZ) is a sea zone prescribed by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea over which a state has special rights regarding the exploration and use of marineresources, including energy production from water and wind.[1] It stretches from the baseline out to 200 nautical miles (nmi) from its coast. In colloquial usage, the term may include the continental shelf. The term does not include either the territorial sea or the continental shelf beyond the 200 nmi limit. The difference between the territorial sea and the exclusive economic zone is that the first confers fullsovereignty over the waters, whereas the second is merely a "sovereign right" which refers to the coastal state's rights below the surface of the sea.

Meri jan, I know EXACTLY what an EEZ is....... when you have your ego's veil not blinding you, try to read my comments in context (Economic)......

TAKE A LOOOONG "D" TURN WITH YOUR GAS PIPELINE FROM IRAN. ETC ETC ETC... (And Wiki isn't specific enough.... it includes ALL underwater transit as well)

Kapish?

So you are the one who really believes that in a globalized economy, Europe Rail links will stop at Pakistan and will not go to Bangkok and Singapore let alone Agra.
and Pakistan can refuse Iran to extend pipelines to India and beyond.
Visionary aren't you ?

Don't expect our Newspapers of any better standard than rest of the World.
Article 58 Rights and duties of other States in the exclusive economic zone 1. In the exclusive economic zone, all States, whether coastal or land-locked, enjoy, subject to the relevant provisions of this Convention, the freedoms referred to in article 87 of navigation and overflight and of the laying of submarine cables and pipelines, and other internationally lawful uses of the sea related to these freedoms, such as those associated with the operation of ships, aircraft and submarine cables and pipelines, and compatible with the other provisions of this Convention. Pakistan can do anything to prevent this pipeline. Their territorial water ends at 12NM. It cannot prevent India or anyone else from laying down a pipeline even 13NM outside its coastline.

We are not part of south Asia, we should declare Pakistan as part of central Asia and more close to them. SAARC or No SAARC. Won't make any differences. We are already having good relation with China. So , no need of SAARC.

Our economy is sufficient for us and we are a nuclear power. How much development India does, just one press of trigger and boooom. India still cannot counter us with all these twisting games of chess like diplomacy.

In such a case, go ahead, lay it. I think Indian Government is dumb-*** as they don't get it, yet you do. They should induct you as an consultant-advisor on all International Trade matters.

Furthermore, it's the sovereign states with the EEZ that decide on laying of pipelines..... #6......... EEZ is not a complete text, it takes into consideration various local laws...... come challenge them in Pakistan Supreme Court....... moreover, don't worry, soon China will be enforcing Pakistan's EEZ from Gwadar... have a problem, talk to the Red Dragon first and then come to us.......

AND IT'S NOT 13NM -- IT IS 200NM.......

People in Pakistan genuinely believe in this kind of stuff or it just gives them sadistic pleasure?

We are just reminding you that. Your all development, etc cannot counter Pakistan.

1) We can block your from rest of the world geographically (your transport cost will rise)
2) We are nuclear power,so development in India cannot counter Pakistan
3) Strategic and economic partnership with China is on roll
4) Pak and China alone can generate revenue worth whole of the SAARC revenue.
