Wearing a sari or a frock is wrong?

If yes, then the generation of your parents was wrong.

Were they?
when did i say that?
people in my house wear Sari you know, and also frocks?
it doesnt matter as long as you are properly covered,

Somehow I did not get that impression speaking to my Pakistani friend. Don't know about saris (that's more a Hindu symbol thing for the most part), but frocks, with show of legs, and sleevless frocks, with show of full arms, as in the photos, I really myself have not seen modern day Pakistan have these, if you leave out the uber hep or model crowd.

In any case, we are getting hung up on only one part of the argument. The fact is, as portrayed in the article, Pakistan for a period of time, as also Iran, developed as model progressive nations ahead of the general regional curve.

Then something changed.

who says Sari is Hindu? we have just taken it, try to take it back, LAWL
well my friend wearing sleeveless will not help you progress, neither will wearing full clothing pull you backwards, well in Islamabad you can wear whatever you want, sleeveless is acceptable here i think, but in some areas of Punjab it isnt just acceptable so just follow the saying "Jaisa dees waisa bhees"

what might this mean?

Won't go into details, well this is something to mean like what I have been seeing most of my countrymen doing mostly. Their favorite sport (especially youth) is to go visit markets and girl colleges etc.
