Pardon my limited knowledge but you missed the point in the post. It wouldn't be 1:1 face-off but different elements will be involved in such case. Remember the word words "Defensive Doctrine" so the birds with potent range of Radar, counter measures and BVRs would do the job, IMO. The balance is never maintained through quantity but with tactics, available weapons and sources and we all can discuss here the possibilities as there is bit of more time (around 2019) to counter future threat.

Sir I agree with you but IAF has numerical advantage and after the induction of Rafale they will also have an edge in terms of quality. This wasn't the case back in the day but things are different now. PAF must balance the edge in terms of quality. Don't you agree?

There is no point to disagree with respect to preparedness for threat and PAF has been maintaining the counter to threat by quality that we cannot compete for quantity in view of our size, requirement and budget.
