Russian plane with 224 people onboard crashes in Egypt's Sinai peninsula

I think its likely that it was poorly maintained, the a320 family of planes is very safe and although there have been a few fatal crashes almost all of them have been pilot error, with almost all of them on landing or approach. Only been one fatal incident in the past 19 years with the a321 and that was the crash at Islamabad in a few years back where the pilot ignored something like 20 warnings and crashed into terrain. Its either been tampered with at the airport or just poorly maintained.

The aircraft had a reputation amongst the airline ground crew as beeing "problematic"

A Russian woman pays respects after laying flowers to commemorate the death of Saturday's plane crash victims outside the Russian embassy in Cairo, Egypt, on Sunday. The first bodies from the plane crash arrived in St Petersburg early on Monday morning aboard a Russian government plane.

St. Petersburg authorities have decided that official mourning events will last until Tuesday in Russia's second city.
The first bodies from a plane crash in Egypt in which all 224 passengers, most of them Russians, died over the weekend arrived in St Petersburg early on Monday morning aboard a Russian government plane.

The crashed Airbus A321 plane, operated by Russian airline Kogalymavia, was carrying holidaymakers from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to St Petersburg when it crashed in the Sinai Peninsula on Saturday morning.

Likely broke up in mid-air

Russian officials have said the plane likely broke up in mid-air but have stressed that it is too early to draw conclusions from this. President Vladimir Putin declared Sunday a national day of mourning.

Russian news agencies reported that a first Il-76 Emergency Situations Ministry plane flew into St Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport a little before 6 a.m. local time, carrying 144 bodies.

The Ministry said the next plane carrying bodies would leave Cairo on Monday evening for St Petersburg. On arrival, the first bodies were loaded onto stretchers and carried into a large white lorry waiting on the runway at Pulkovo Airport.

Identification process

A Reuters photographer then saw the white lorry leaving the airport, escorted by police cars. It was heading for a St. Petersburg morgue, where the bodies were to be identified. The identification process was meant to start around 11 a.m. local time.

At Pulkovo Airport on Sunday, grieving Russians piled flowers high in memory of their dead compatriots. Mourners in Moscow arranged candles to spell out 7K-9268, the number of the flight that crashed.

Russia and other former Soviet republics have poor air safety records, notably on domestic flights. Some accidents have been blamed on the use of ageing aircraft, but industry experts point to other problems, such as poor crew training and lax government controls.

St. Petersburg authorities have decided that official mourning events will last until Tuesday in Russia's second city.

I hope the victims families receive help and support. This is a difficult time for Russia. Stay strong people of Russia.

One possibility, which seems to be overlooked, is a MANPAD fired as the plane was taking off.
As long as it is below 5,000 meters, it is vulnerable.
While not a direct kill, the missile could damage the structure of the plane,
and as the flight progressed, the problem grew worse until the plane broke apart.
impossible the pilot would have known about the attack and cancelled the flight not to increase the altitude and continue the flight as nothing has happened.

.
I bet that Russian plane fell similar to this Iranian plane, the same structural malfunction

I believe that vertical stabilizer cracked in flight and didnt break on impact with ground, some part of it missing, where is the rudder of vertical stabilizer?

when i see this picture , then i start to have doubt about isis pictures, here i cant find any evidence of fire but isis pictures clearly shown the plane on fire.

Considering the country Airline operates from, the timing, Air France and Lafthansa blacklisting the route - I, for one, have
little to no doubt the plane was shot down. I think the perpetrators should be ready for a payback since Putin isn't a guy
known for letting go.

.
Whatever the truth is, Putin will tell the investigators what the outcome will be, its sounding more likely its a bomb what with the tail flying off mid flight but its a poor airline, staff havent been paid in 2 months and they were having trouble etc but whatever Putin says will be "truth".

.
I knew it must have been CIA and Mossad works they changed some of the bolts with faulty one in airbus factory and its the result.

And well come on its an american dude that say that not press TV so the news is completely true and legit now if some guys don't bother and read all the article and don't have time to research who is this James Henry Fetzer guy and consider the news as God sent fact well its their problems not pressTV and all the news agency rely on such people for their agenda.
