LOL Where did i say US presence in South Vietnam was an invasion? South Vietnam had internationally legitimate government which had right to invite whoever it wished.
Also do you really think Russians are going to send half a million people in Syria like US sent in Vietnam? From military POV Vietnam war can be viewed as an invasion due to sheer size of US presence while politically it was perfectly legal. Iraq war of 2003 was invasion from both military and political POV because it was illegal , without UNSC resolution or consent of legitimate government.
