China and Russia can complemented each other's weakness with military trade and cooperation, as I said before that there is no way to win an arm race against US if both play solo: US had a huge military budget and with the fact that US had cooperated with Japan and EU regarding military technology since cold war, this had boosted US military technology progress exponentially. China and Russia share the same fate that both are lag behind US military superiority, it's in both interest to learn to trust each other for the sake of their national security. I believe China and Russia are mature to understand that only both join hand to be able to break US military and technology supremacy.

China and Russia is about 27 million m2 in area, the whole Asia-Europ continent is about 54 million m2. We take up almost 50% area of the huge continent. The basic fact already can indicate how important two nations cooperation for the stability of the world.

I actually still doubt whatever j20 is a true 5th generation of fighter, equally capable as f22 and f35. Whatever in hardware or software.

We solved software problem much faster than them. That is why many tech firms hired Chinese software engineers like us despite the massive cap in the language barrier. Though there are a few talents one, but most were Jew American. However, the lead software guys tend to be either Chinese or Jew.

Russian hardware is still quite capable for now.

But decades later, it will far behind from USA and China. Because their research and development foundation is not as active and big as USA and China.

Russia has a few tech that we can learn from but yes, UAV we are way ahead and only slightly behind the US due to engine efficiency and maturity. This will be solved within the next decade or so and there is no stopping China from reaching the top in UAV.

Chinese UCAV is cheaper, better in surveillance and combat capabilities in terms of payload, sensor ,endurance and weapon choic. It is the prefer choice by 21 countries using Chinese UCAV. Heavily proven in Iraq fight against ISIS. Saudi is so convinced of Chinese UCAV that they spend money to buy and ToT for 300 of them.

I have seen the issue up close when I used to work for Micron Tech and we were setting up our Shanghai facility. Chinese engineers and technicians are very good at problem solving at the local level but not very creative at the process level and process is where I resides.

Put it this way...Your software is subordinate to my process. I am the guy who designs the PATHWAYS for the product. You are the guy who works for me who make sure the software works as I intended the process to go. I do not need to know the intricacies of C++ or Python. I just need to know that you are and get you to do your job as I hired you to do.

It is not just Micron but Intel who also knows the creativity problem. Intel's Dalian Fab 68 is completely dependent upon American counterparts for everything for set up per Intel's 'Copy Smart' program...

Both China and Russia are big countries with big defense requirements. However, neither of them will be able to completely develop and produce all defense equipment needed by themselves. Sometimes it is most effective buy from or develop with others. Like China is buying military equipments/parts from Russia today,so will Russia from China in the future. It might or might not be UAVs today, but it be something else tomorrow as China's defense sector advances.

Shame and embarrassment doesn't come from buying equipment needed but from not having the equipment when needed.

US bans comprenhensively Huawei and even Chinese 2tier ZTE network equipment while CHINA gov does not ban Cisco,QUALICOM,alcater lucent,nokia,simmens,etx.
