As I have already said, you guys can keep on talking as much as you want. Russia is not a small country like Pakistan that we can dictate. They will have relations to anyone they like. But trust me, they are not fools to let go 25 billion USD Indian contracts and 25 billion USD more in future, for a few Su 35s to Pakistan.

If anything, they will sell you outdated helos or other small arms..... Pakistan can buy as many Mi 35s (rejected by India) as they like.

It is sometimes childish reading posts by you guys. What has Russia given you? A nuclear sub? An Aircraft carrier? Nuclear power plants? 270 + Flankers? If they provide all these then you can come and say .... by the way, if you didn't know, in front of the above deals with India, by contrast, Russia gave a mere 4 Mi-35s to Pakistan.

Russia's current commitment to India includes 270+ MKIs (most will undergo upgrades worth billions), Multiple Nuclear plants including the Kundakulam in TN, PAK-FA 5th generation fighters, Ka helicopters, Just inducted INS Vikramaditya..... the list is endless....

So let me get this right.... Russia would have put its around 20 billion USD military contracts (and another potential 20 odd for Nuclear subs, nuclear plants and FGFA) for a few Su-35s to Pakistan? To offset Indias defence purchases, PAF would need to buy atleast 650 SU-35 in the next 5 years

PS: After alll these threads and long long discussions especially by our beloved @Horus that India is moving to USA camp and Russia to Pakistan, the results are thus...

1) Pak got a contract for a mighty 4 helicopters from Russia ... @Zarvan
2) India finalised 22 Apaches, 15 Chinooks (with 11 + 7 options) with USA @Basel

Along with the above military relations with Russia.... so actually, on the contrary, Pak is only stck with China while India enjoys the best of USA/ France/ Russia and Israel....

I am astonished that people in India dont realize the basic facts. Russia already has MKI order in hand so no need to worry about it but when Russia sees long term, India will be a US ally. In such a scenario, Russia has to look for other countries to initiate business with. Its a basic sales strategy ..... in this case there is a bit of politics involved in it though.

Really? Fifth generation fighter aircraft is in the making and the deal is not final. Do you really think Russia is stupid to risk business worth 100 billion in the next decade for a dozen Su-35 sale?

yup, apart from the US (limited to F-16 blk 52, rest is not for sale) or the US okaying other F-16 customers to sell second hand to Pakistan, their only options are Chinese stuff (and even there they can't get the Chinese flanker copies)

I don't know about your offshoots ... But in reality the deal is for 22 apaches n 15 chinooks and it's yet to be signed ...

No,it has been signed alright.And you know how our military procurement works,they order a small initial batch at first,then after they are done establishing its training regime and calculating spare support and maintenance requirements,they place a larger order.Same thing happened with Mig 21,Jaguars,Mi 17s and Su 30MKIs.
