The AESA for the MiG-35 isn't ready yet; you got it right, mate!

Great day to you, Tay.

P.S.

"Used collectively by 56 export markets."

Which refers to global MiG exports as the extended -29 family had 39 markets.

what a shame after all these years a Doppler radar is still equipped on so called 4++ gen fighter

Tell that to the Typhoon fans and see them cry?

Present Gripens don't have one either, BTW!
It's not as common as one would think yet.

Just sayin', tag mate, Tay.

Russia successfully tested its latest Ka-52K Katran reconnaissance and combat helicopter during the recent Mediterranean cruise by the Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier, Rossiiskaya Gazeta reported.
https://sputniknews.com/russia/201702111050579915-russia-helicopter-tests/

The Admiral Kuznetsov’s Captain, Sergei Artamonov, heaped praise on the Ka-52K, which is a ship-based version of the Ka-52 Alligator reconnaissance and combat helicopter, calling it “the best of its kind around.”

"The test flights we conducted during the cruise showed that this helicopter has great potential as a weapon and as a major element of our naval airpower,” Artamonov said in a documentary aired by Rossiya-24 on Wednesday night.

The Kamov designers faced the daunting task of adjusting the new ship-borne rotorcraft for use during naval operations in conditions of high humidity and salinity.

The fuselage is covered with resilient anti-corrosion coating and is fitted with folding blades and wings.

The Ka-52K’s firepower is notably greater compared to its land-based counterpart. It can be armed with torpedoes, depth charges and even heavy missiles capable of sinking an enemy warship. The helicopter is equipped with a laser beam guidance system and Okhotnik video processing system.

The onboard Arbalet radar system allows the Ka-52K to effectively perform combat missions even in situations of active electronic jamming. The helicopter can detect hostile vessels at a range of almost 200 kilometers.

The Vitebsk optical and electronic defense system effectively protects the Ka-52K against missiles armed with infrared self-homing warheads.

The helicopter can be further upgraded to carry Kh1AD and Kh35 anti-ship missiles, which are currently used by Su-30, Su-35 and MiG-29K warplanes and are able to inflict serious damage even to aircraft carriers.

In addition, the Ka-52K can carry virtually all types of Western-made airborne anti-ship missiles, which makes it much easier to sell abroad. In 2015 Egypt said it was mulling the purchase of over fifty Ka-52Ks.

“The successful tests on board the Admiral Kuznetsov have revived international interest in the3 Ka-52 Katran helicopter,” Rossiiskaya Gazeta wrote.

The Kamov Design Bureau is a part of Russian Helicopters, which is a global leader in the field of helicopter manufacture and the only developer and manufacturer of helicopters in Russia.

The Russian Defense Ministry is due to get a sophisticated mobile laser system capable of "blinding" aircraft optics and laser GPS-guided bombs and missiles from dozens of kilometers away, according to the Russian newspaper Izvestia.
https://sputniknews.com/military/201702121050596384-russia-laser-weapons-tests/

A state-of the-art mobile laser system will enter service with the Russian Armed Forces in the near future, the Russian newspaper Izvestia reported.

The system can "blind" the optics arrays of enemy warplanes, helicopters as well as laser GPS-guided bombs and missiles that are dozens of kilometers away, according to the newspaper.

Additionally, it can counteract the optoelectronic systems of armored vehicles and tanks, as well as the hind sights of anti-tank missile systems.

Thanks to its small size, the mobile laser array can be easily mounted on combat vehicles and armored cars, the newspaper said.

Its principle of operation is simple enough: a multi-channel laser beam is directed at the detected optical system and "dazzles" it, Izvestia quoted several well-informed military sources as saying.

The system includes several laser emitters which is why it can simultaneously grapple with a large number of targets or concentrate on a single object.

Developed by the Russian research and production association Astrofizika (Astrophysics), the system is already undergoing a number of tests, the sources said.

"Currently, the system is in a high state of readiness," one of the sources said, without elaborating.

Russian Aerospace Forces, naval aviation to receive 160 airplanes, helicopters before yearend - Gen. Bondarev

https://sputniknews.com/military/201702261051049674-russia-aerospace-naval-aviation/

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia’s Aerospace Forces and naval aviation will have their air fleets boosted this year by a total of 160 planes and helicopters, Col. Gen. Viktor Bondarev announced on Sunday.

"The Aerospace Forces are expected to receive around 140 planes and helicopters this year, making up a total of 160 items of new equipment if you count in those reserved for the Naval Aviation," the chief of the Aerospace Forces told reporters.

Col. Gen. Bondarev said forces in his charge had overhauled most of their air fleet, with new equipment amounting to some 55 percent of the total.

"We are moving ahead with procurement plans," the commander said. "The factories have reached their projected production capacities, there are no problems with equipment deliveries."

Col. Gen. Bondarev’s deputy Lt. Gen. Pavel Kurachenko said last December the Aerospace Forces could count on getting more than 900 new aircraft by 2020.
