Only two economies took a step back: Hungary lost its high income status and became upper middle, while South Sudan moved from lower middle to low income.
The first place in the GNI ranking belongs to Monaco, and the top-5 economies also include Liechtenstein, Bermuda, Norway and Switzerland. The US with a GNI of more than $50,000 is in 18th place. Russia has a GNI of around $12,700, which makes it 72nd in the world ranking.
