Russia keen to sell new fighter jet MiG-35 to IAF: Official

An American Marketing guy was asked if he could guarantee that his product could be bought for the next ten years.
He paused, thought a bit and replied that he could not guarantee that his company existed in five years.

That article is written by a fashion editor who used to work in a women's magazine called Femina. Do you want to even consider that it was actually written by her???????????????

1) RuAF itself is planning to upgrade/induct MIG-35s

2) Antonov is different case as it had exposure to Ukraine and carries the baggage of USSR

3) Russia is more homogeneous than former USSR and much stronger as a nation today

4) The risk/probability of Mikoyan and/or Russia going kaput is same as Sweden being taken over by Russia and SAAB going kaput

@vostok

The RuAF has ordered 30 MiG-35 with 170 "planned".
If Mikoyan does not execute, those planned 140 may be unplanned.

The point is that they are in trouble, and any warranties have to be valued accordingly.

They may go bankrupt one day, voiding all debts,but reappear the next day as Mikoyan V2.0
without any debts, and no obligations to meet warranties, or support contracts.

Russia has financial problem, but going kaput ?

I think that Mikoyan's company will survive in one form or another. As a last resort, they will become the manufacturer of heavy drones. But I think they are in better form now than 10 years ago.
