ABM are meant to protect cities, do you think the old S300 and 30km Akash SAMs will save your cities from Mach 18 Shaheen 3?
The AAD and PAD are to be deployed at Delhi and Mumbai initially, forming the layered ABM shield.
Barak 8 is for your naval assets, I'm discussing Army AD.
And here you've predicted a separate order for the A&N, as if you're the one planning for it.
The 40N6 missile isn't even operational with the Ruskies, what are you thinking of?
The 48N6 250km has fine ability to intercept BM and CM thus it's a strong partner to the existing under development AAD/PAD combo.

The 40N6 has entered production in Russia. India will receive this missile.

Also, our BMD capability will be based on the AAD/PDV combo, not the S-400.
