India simply has no choice, it either cedes ground to China (in the military space it has, but its attempting to fight in terms of trade, diplomacy etc.) or it aligns itself with the US as a bulwark against China, whilst ignoring Russian enmity with the US.

Russia actually don't want American presence in India. all these recent agreements has irked Russia. Russia thinks that India is inviting enemy and they are worried about scs as well. they don't want Americans anyway near India. India also getting more weapons from Americans than Russians. India is making enemies in this region and thinks that allies will come to save her! it's a misconception. ladakh carnage showed Indians that nobody is coming to help them. wrong policy by Indians but this will help Pakistan and I like it.

biggest blunder Pakistan did was falling into western orbit when Russia was geographically much closer neighbour should have been neutral from the start and just let them handle Afghanistan and leave them to it Russia would have kept that place under control. Instead Pakistan allowed itself to be used a cannon fodder by the west and let the country to be flooded with weapons ,extremist propaganda and international militants.
