Point? It was a thousand years ago that Islam invaded. I think it was in the 1300-1400s that Islam arrived in that particular region which is atleast 600 years from which native Chechnyans began slowly adopted Islamic culture.

Russians suffered heavy casualties in the first invasion of Chechnya. A small nation of brave people resisted bunch of vodka addicts for a long time.
