ISLAMABAD – In a meeting of Pakistan-Russian Federation Parliamentary Friendship Group in Islamabad, Pakistan appreciates Russia’s acknowledgement for Islamabad’s commitment and sacrifices in the war against terrorism.


During the meeting, the two sides also discussed to expand cooperation in the fields of regional security, counter terrorism, economic and trade relations, energy sector, defense sector, peaceful use of nuclear energy, parliamentary and cultural exchanges.

The Russian parliamentary delegation, which was headed by Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Counter Corruption, I. Piskarev, said that his country aims to maintain closer relations with Pakistan.

He said Russia considers Pakistan as an important regional power with whom Moscow intends to enhance bilateral economic cooperation beyond the current bilateral trade.

believe me there were more powerful anti state groups present in Pak then there are now, the internal situation was much worse back then. As for the markhoors , well they are bred right in the foundation soil of Pakistan and that soil never changes.
