Then world powers should do the necessary without any delay but No?
what do you think is 'the necessary'?
Situation can be related as WMDs claim was fake yet country invaded even Saddam is dead but look at today's Iraq. The same invasion helped rise of a new Cancer like ISIS in the region so Syria is going to create another one as what if this move was fake too like Iraqi WMDs. Veto powers need to sit and discuss in UN and can demand explanation from Russia & China.
It's hard to tell what will come out of Syria. All the worlds 'players' assembled, and it's still not clear who is going to win that territory yet alone how they will administrate that are after they've 'won the war' (won the current set of battles, in my opinion)
That is your choice to post your arguments etc but there is no need to post your e-mails here that does not relate to the topic/thread or forum at all. This forum has own policy so you can save your e-mails to your hard disk/computer but doesn't make any sense to post the same here.
ah but it does make sense, Eagle-san
by emailing discussions from defence.pk around to the addresses i always use for such "leaks" (it's already a public discussion, but the audience is small and limited if you dont 'leak' it),
i am doing my best to see the arguments in those discussions discussed by "my" political circles and mass-media companies (or at least discussed informally at these politicians' and massmedia journalists' water-coolers),
and that *may* (or may not) have an effect on what mass media feeds the much-larger public that does not frequent forums like defence.pk here.
and by emailing the receipts of such emails back onto the forum, i am giving notice to all intel and military professionsals from many countries around the world that *do* read defence.pk as part of their job, that any aspects/details of world military developments that would be otherwise stay relatively secret,
are now also known to political leaderships and massmedia outlets.
By not keeping the addresses to which i send these 'updates' secret, i aim to create a more honest and open battle for the hearts and minds of the vast majority of people who do not read defence.pk (or forums like it).
Well it is pretty fair, no?
The Western powers are supporting the "Syrian rebels" (who happen to include stalwarts such as Al-Nusra and ISIS).
Russia and China are supporting the officially recognized government of Syria (also known as barrel-bombing Assad).
Seems pretty balanced to me. What would be unfair would be if all the P5 members supported the same side, that would be highly unbalanced.
Hi Dragon
Yes, many mistakes have been made by the West. After Saddam's regime was replaced by 'a bunch of militarily-amateur local politicians (in free elections mind you)', we had a temporary problem of training up entirely new soldiers (can't have Saddam loyalists running the army again, or the new-and-nicer politicians dont stand a chance to stay in real power). So the new Iraqi army did the right thing; they fled and lived to fight another day.
They're pretty much up to ***-kicker status these days though.
They also followed advice me (and probably others too) not to torture extremists they captured. They gave 'm comfy prisons where (big mistake) they could read from their own (violent-jihadist) Quran versions, and thus if you count it all up you can say that "the West together with the post-Saddam Iraqi leadership created ISIS".
However.. You can't (and i won't let anyone) judge the performance of an entirely new and noob-ish goverment in such a violent region, by their first 10 to 15 years in office.
And BTW, the new Iraqi leadership, with continued US help, is now well underway to regain control of their entire country.
As for the US supporting the moderate rebels in Syria : same problem there folks! moderate rebels tend to run away from a battlefield if they notice they're gonna get slaughtered, and radical oppressors like ISIS tend to run towards abandoned weapons!
As for China and Russia; they're up to proxy-warring, and i'm not liking it. Neither are a lot of other people.
Russia wants to keep Assad in power and 'clean up Syria'. Then let's see them actually clear up Syria themselves in less than 4 months using the renewed Russian military might, and NOT see Syria continue to be a hell-hole for the next decade, eh!
China, you're new to influence-far-outside-your-own-borders. Please make sure you do not pick up the bad habits of letting your enemies and people you dont actually care about slaughter eachother for years and years. Be constructive, work towards peace with what you say internally to eachother, in the massmedias to the world, and by the actions of your secret intel operatives and the rest of your military assets.
The score is being kept by historians people. And it's not hard math if you know what i mean.
