Featured Russia admitted that Pantsir-S1 missile systems are useless against Turkish drones

Classic Russian bullshit, throw shade at the destroyed models, strap on a useless upgrade in the last minute and tell everyone that "THIS is the real deal - upgrade now and give me the money".

At the end of the day Russian point defense systems, manned by everyone living under the sun, has been destroyed by weapons it was specifically developed to counter for.

At this point it's target practice for Israel and Turkey to see how far they can push the envelope with just drones alone.

Opfor are not exactly standing still. Once Russians deploys a system, countermeasures are put in place by rival countries. No such thing as an invincible weapon system. Cannot buy a weapon system and expect it to be a war winner. It could be obsolete within a year of induction.

Of topic. Old sa 7 manpads took down an apache and cobra attack helicopters by iraqi insurgents. During GW2 an F 15 was shot down by 1950s era radar controlled sam. Morer recently Turkey lost a cobra helicopter to PKK who used sa 16 manpad.

Of course, in that vein of thought a bird can also take down a jet too.

But if we're talking about the consensus of a platform Russia has been dropping the ball left and right. They're trying to trick the same countries yet again by telling them that what they're currently using was out of date and worked perfectly for it's intended use which is a lie.
