    KARACHI (Daily Dunya) - Rumours pertaining to sale of lion meat in Sindh province of Pakistan has taken social media by storm.

    Apparently the seller has provided all his contact details, rate list and the picture of slaughtering lion is circulating on messaging app Whatsapp.

    As per rate list, one kilogram (kg) of fresh lion meat would cost Rs. 300,000 while two kilograms for Rs 500,000 and a price for 5kg stands at for Rs 1 million. The details further stating that Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays are not working days for the company.

    People receiving such messages on Whatsapp are astonished on how something like this could be going on in Pakistan.
    Such absurd messages have left masses in a state of shell-shock.

    The person claimed to be the owner of company ‘Bilal Baig’ provided a website which upon checking proved bogus.
    www.bilalbaig.dawaza.pk.com

    In this case, the scammers may have actually created fake news on social media.

    However, this is not the first time something like this has emerged in Pakistan. Previously, there have been arrests made by the concerned authorities on different cases ranging from reptiles to other animals.

    Authorities concerned need to look into the matter and keep a check on such incidents.

Seems like a photo-shopped image, unless the lion was stolen from a Pakistani zoo or personal zoo.
 
guys if the animal is not endangered,can be breaded in captivity and there is demand for it in the market(limited sales to non muslims or exports) whats the problem in farming it.

I am against harming or hunting any animal period unless their are religious reasons for doing do.Kudos Hound
