Rs 10m ransom demand for Hindu man abducted in Pak

oh please don't mix all rajputs....... all of them are not same.........there are Rajputs in Hindu's, Muslims and Sikhs

What do you mean by not mixing all Rajputs?

Rajputs in Pakistan also do NOT marry outside their family. It has to be a Rajput lady to marry for a Rajput boy.

You might find a single case where a Rajput boy married some non-Rajput but 99% its just marriage within a Rajput family.

well Rajputs in Pakistan are much different than Rajputs in India........... i am not sure if they really marry outside their families or not but being a Muslim i am sure there will be many ocassions when they opt to go outside their families considering the low numbero f Rajputs in Pakistan

I understand they once upon a time used to be the rulers of India so that "Rajputi Gharana" means more valuable for them but considering they are no longer Hindu's and also the low number of Rajputs i am sure there will be marrying outside their "BARADRI/Clan"

because in the old days girls from your village were like your sisters it does happen now and again and your mothers village is your nanke

I have a few rajput friends who migrated from india. And they dont marry outside there clan...And consider other people like gujjar, arien and others inferior no offence........And are very proud of there hindu ancestory lol most even hate mughals lol funny thing is tht most of there ancestors converted in 13th century....And use titles like Rana, raja, khan, choudhary and sometimes malik in upper punjab and most like 99.9% dont marry outside there clan.

I'm Sidhu Sikh Jatt, Sidhu's are the descendants of Bhatti (Chandravanshi caste or clan) Rajputs, Yaduvanshi descent. At one time, the Bhattis ruled over the lands of Northern India, Pakistan and Afghanistan, from Mathura to Ghazni. Ghazni and Lahore were seized by the king of Bukhara (in today's Uzbekistan) after a long period. The Bhattis migrated and settled in the area of Bhatner (Hanumangarh in present-day northern Rajasthan). Bhatti Rajputs were proficient horse riders, marksman and warriors. Their reign spread to the Punjab,Sindh and beyond, to Afghanistan. The City of Ghazni was named after a brave Bhatti warrior Raja Gaj.. In Lahore, a monument exists to this day, which is called the Bhati Gate, named so probably because it opens in the direction of the "Sandal Bar", an area ruled by Rai Sandal Khan Bhatti Rajput.

Surnames : Sidhu or Chaudhary

Sidhu's have nine sub-clans: Brar, Harike, Bhaike, Bains, Jaid, Pirkotiye, Johal, Rosse and Manoke

In Pakistan Sidhus are found throughout central Punjab, with special concenterations in Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad and Lahore Districts.

We also not meant to marry someone from our own Gotra or Mother's Gotra. It has to be a Jatt/Rajput boy to marry for a Jatt/Rajput lady. :P

well i guess not everybody thinks like that...... at least not me....... if i was to marry without my parent's consent (that is highly unlikely) i would have probably seen the Seerat and then Soorat (Deeds and Beauty :yahoo: ) and then marry her regardless of her background whether she is from Pakistan or India or Yogoslavia and regardless of the cast whether she is Rajput, Chaudry or Sheikh :P Allah made you a Human and guided you to find the true religion........ i guess thats all i require........... we humans further divided ourselves in to this "ZAAT PAAT OONCH NEECH" and other useless stuff

i believe there will be many peoples in Sikh religion also who do not pay attention to these minor things
