I wanted to create a thread to post news about them, and also create an environment to discuss them. A short summary:

Osmanalioglu family
The Osmanoğlu family refers to the current members of the historical House of Osman (the Ottoman dynasty), who were the sole rulers and the namesake of the Ottoman Empire from 1299 until the establishment of the Republic of Turkey in 1923.

There were thirty six Ottoman Sultans who ruled over the Empire, and each one was a direct descendant through the male line of the first Ottoman Sultan, Sultan Osman I. After the deposition of the last Sultan, Mehmet VI, in 1922, and the subsequent abolition of the Ottoman Caliphate in 1924, members of the Imperial family were forced into exile. Their descendants now live in many different countries throughout Europe, as well as in the United States, the Middle East, and since they have now been permitted to return to their homeland, many now also live in Turkey. When in exile, the family adopted the surname of Osmanoğlu, meaning "son of Osman", after the founder of the House of Osman and direct ancestor of all current family members.

A video of the family last year:

Quite hard to believe they are the heirs of a dynasty that lasted 7 centuries and that ruled all of the antique world. It is quite telling that they don't even speak Turkish.

They can't speak Turkiç? That can't be aceptable to people of Turkey.
They don't speak Turkish. The funny thing is that some islamist in Turkey are saying it was a mistake for Turkey to kick out the royal family but they don't know the current state of the Ottoman family in the UK. For the record, five generations ago this family was caliph and leader of the muslim world.

Ottoman empire(specially the last decades) was the dark ages of Turkey. Turkish people need to thank Ataturk, Inonu, ... for removing that corrupt backward system, and reviving the turk nation like a Phoenix from ashes of that damn system. islamism has never worked, and will never work, specially in the post medieval era age. But, islamists are brainless and backwards, so no wonder if they prefer Ottoman caliphates.

Turkey should put some pressure on them to change their last names.

They shouldn't change their names. Just accept them how they are. It is the truth that the sultan didn't care about Turkish, Turkishness or Turkish people. If he did, he wouldn't put a signature under the treaty which would give big portions of Turkey to Armenia, Greece, France, UK and Italy. Most of the Turks today would be under foreign rule but the Ottoman throne would continue to exist if the Young Turk uprising didn't happen.

Still the day people are lying about the sevr project, this is never been signed by Osmanoglu. And what is the purpose of the topic?

It is sad Ottoman history ended like that but the truth must be spoken. How pathetic can you be to put a signature under that treaty just to keep your own throne? At the end he chose the wrong horse and was exiled. The caliph and his family who ruled for 6-7 centuries exiled to the UK. Some islamist in Turkey are sad about the ousting of the Ottoman family/calpih. They rather would had the Ottoman throne to exist but live under Greek, Armenian, Italian and French rule :disagree: If they fell under the Greeks or Armenians, they would be massacred or deported. If they fell under French, Italian, or British "zones of influence" like shown on that map. They would be taxed like cattle. Kept dumb and uneducated and be like another Palestine.

Every history book says the Sultan signed it. It is official history. From where do you get your history? From those islamists who never opened a book, never opened archives and are fabricating history?

To think that armenian students are thought that Turkey under Atatürk 'actually signed this serves agreement' but didn't give any land to armenia even though 'US president also ordered Turkey to do it'... just gives me a weird boner.
