Round One JF17 - Poor Display By Tejas Took 10 more sec Than JF17 To Go Up

I saw the bahrain air show on the YouTube and Tejas take off was one of the worst..with hovering over the runway closing landing gear like passenger plane..BTW JF-17 can pull 8.5G vs Tejas 8G.

Tejas has the capability but as the commentator says the air craft is going to hold low maneuver before lift off..

BTW it is not exactly light..all that 40 Years delay in making composites is not helping..Also remember the maintenance advantage..that composites cannot be repaired like aviation alloys...cut..dril..rivet...and if someone takes out the composite production facilities during war...then its all high sh1t in the air.

This is called short Take-off , only handful planes which has greater capability can achieve this. Get some knowledge........ which shows Tejas will be air and battle ready faster then JFT. JFT done closing of landing gear like passenger plane.

Time to wake up, production Started and 2 Already been with AF and 6 more will be hand over this year . by Next Year IAF will have 20 tejas . and from 7 years you only got 60 JFT and with in 2 years India got 20 tejas.

BTW from next year India will be 16 Tejas / year production ( double of JFT)

lol in 1983 , India started to think of making plane, its given India a major Aero space industry. Where as you still celebrating that you are certified for overhauling the JFT , India is now thinking of making more advance plane and its related technology.

The actual production and testing started in 2002. Which 40 years are you talking about? If you are referring to the first time it was mentioned in 1986, there were a lot of things mentioned by lots of governments before they started doing something about it.
