Root cause of Hindu Muslim division

Root cause is all religions have their fare share of "nut jobs " and sane people reacting on the actions of those nut jobs.
Reactions are not always rational so the cycle go on

I am not going to go into history. But speak about the present.

The root cause of the problems between Hindus and Muslims in India today is because of the Partition of India.

The day that happened, those of us left behind, became the "other"

This "other" paradigm then grew and festered and was given loving soil and water by both Hindu and Muslim leaders. This is the truth. Is hamam mein sab nange hain.

Why there is a hindu-muslim divide? It is there because we as people need a boogeyman. We need someone to blame our woes on. And it would someone most easily found in our vicinity, would be the boogeyman. This has happened all through human history. Hindu-Muslim conflict is no different in it's basic nature from any other inter-religious or inter-community conflict which plagued mankind through it's history. Be that Jew-Chirstian, Muslim-Jew, Christian-Muslim, Black-White or the like. I'm generalizing it and don't want to go into specifics. But all such conflicts shares something similar. We people always want others to blame for our trouble.

Akbar was a murtid. He was an apostate and NOT a Muslim.

Sends him a list of destroyed places of worship, destruction of civilizations and forced conversions from Mecca, Medina, Hijaz ,Misr (Egypt), Levant, Anatolia(Turkey), Andalusia (Spain), Mesopotamia (Iraq), Persia (Iran), Afghanistan, Pakistan (ex West Bharatvarsha), India (ex Bharatvarsha), Bangladesh etc etc.

The strong conquer and the weak whimper. If later day Hindu Rajas were not full of debauchery and lethargy, if they could get their head out their asses, if they were not busy taking handouts from first Mughals and then British then perhaps they could have done something about it.

But no, they had forgotten how to fight, their own praja was just a cash cow to be harvested and thus they themselves where harvested.

Look at those who were capable - The Marathas, The Sikhs, The Mauryas - none of them did shabbily did they? They outfought the Greeks, The British and Mughals.

So dont blame Muslims for Hindu weakness and timidness.

Aww. He was a non Muslim as well. The guy was a puppet of the British. No self respecting Muslim will allow that. A slave. Of a Christian!
Plus he banned beef, treated Hindus fairly, didnot impose the jizya (because he had no real authority) and even promoted Holi and kite playing - both acts of shirk.

So dont blame Muslims for Hindu weakness and timidness.

I am not crying out loud that Muslims did injustice to Hindus. That they did, but Hindus have no excuse - they divided themselves and continue to do so. But selling 'Muslims were good for Hindus' story is plain stupid. They can and deserve to be proud of the way they enslaved, killed and converted us. While we should be ashamed of ourselves. But then, civilization has always fallen to the barbarian in the past.

No one is altruistic, so the ones who think British or Muslims did good for India (historically) are just fools suffering from Stockholm syndrome. It is a common psychological phenomenon - some people dont have the fight or flight instinct, instead they seek to get closer to their tormentor, they try to be like them and please them. We see this behavior among many Indians who lament the passing of British and Mughal rule.

As for civilization falling to barbarians - it is an after effect of decay and complacency. Civilization becomes weak and barbarians make merry - Just like aids afflicted falling prey to disease as they dont have immune system,

A strong civilization destroys the barbarians - Look at How Rome dealt with Carthage.

Sadly, most so called 'right wingers' are not immune to this either.

To be fair, this was ingrained for centuries in us. The Rajputs had to send a prince of their household to the Mughal court as a royal 'guest' and women in harems as part of the 'friendship' treaty.
Even then, Man Singh was busy attacking Shivaji in the Deccan. In some cases in history, Hindus deserved all they got.

The problem is that we don't accept our shameful past today and hide behind a few architectural marvels or fables of the period. As if the people did not matter.

Quite similar to the rapes of German women after WW2. After war, they shut up about it and denied them all. Only recently did they start speaking.
