RIP Nice, France terror attack victims...73 Dead many injured.

Very Sad to hear this , condolences to the French people
France should do whatever it has to ensure safety of its citizens

France is now the largest Miltary power in Europe and that position comes with strings attached.

I don't have any details but will just add this

the one who says I'm your enemy and is visible is the obvious danger but the one who says I'm your friend and does other wise is the bigger danger
france & EU(nato) should align with russia to deal with issues in mid east.

Enough is surely enough. Something needs to be done. The Europeans have been extremely tolerant but I don't think they'll be tolerant for much longer. Infact, surely this makes Le Pen the favourite for the next election. As it stands, of the governments of the world's 5 biggest economies, China has a hardliner, Japan has a nationalist, France is going to elect a nationalist and Trump is playing his game in the US. Interesting times.

it would be helpful to keep the driver alive to find out the perpetrators.

80 now :(

It's like something out of a bad action movie. So saddening.

The casualty numbers in recent attacks have been shocking.

Normally such huge death tolls only happen in the warzones themselves, but now they are happening everywhere.

Bastille Day truck attack: French president denounces 'monstrous' killing of 80 people

Nice terror attack: Hollande extends state of emergency as 80 killed by truck crashing into Bastille Day crowd

French President Francois Hollande has vowed to strengthen his country's role in the fight against the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria after a deadly attack on Nice, which has not been claimed by any group.

"Nothing will make us yield in our will to fight terrorism. We will further strengthen our actions in Iraq and in Syria. We will continue striking those who attack us on our own soil," he said, in reference to the Islamic State group.

He also said he had called on reservists to boost the ranks of police and gendarmes. France's "operational reservists" include French citizens with or without military experience as well as former soldiers. Mr Hollande said they would in particular be used to boost "border controls".

Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presumptive presidential candidate, told CNN that she is "sick at heart about what's happened to the French people, this is a horrific attack".

"It reminds us very vividly and tragically, that we need to stand with our allies and not abandon them and we have to strengthen our alliances, including with Nato, not undermine them.
