Unfortunately the power to reason and education never did much to affect the levels of gun crimes in America neither and it is unlikely to prevent things from getting out of hand should police or military use force to suppress its people.

That's a very big 'should', you know.

What could propel the police to exercise such an option, though, still escapes you.

There is no very big or very small. Heck who would have thought things would turn out so bad in the UK? Should it happen in America? I'll leave you and the readers to your imaginations. :azn:

The UK has a history of such rioting motivated by looting of private property. The US doesn't.

EDIT: In fact I do recall one such incident that happened in the US.

It was during the blackout. I don't exactly remember the year. However, even then the shootings etc. were not inordinately high.

Thank you obam for bringing thread back to topic. I do hope american regime shows restraint against its people and releases the ones that have been locked up

Anyways, the data is inconclusive for lack of uniformity. Range of years varies through the decade. :woot:. Talk of data uniformity.

try harder, Bilal. ;)

...and give me the latest data.

The UK has a history of such rioting. The US doesn't.

Wrong.

What we saw happened in the UK was unprecedented here in the UK. This kind of trend will continue to spread itself across the western world who is going through a phrase of decline.

New chapters will always find its way to write over history. Are you honestly telling the readers here that a country should or will always follow the same paths and things will never change?

Even India has much lower gun related deaths statistics than the US, so Pakistan should be even lesser than that.

i am worried abou the west because people here are not used to hardship and thier govts actions have now made sure they are going to suffer. I hope western regimes show restraint like they are always urging other countries

Thank you obam for bringing thread back to topic. I do hope american regime shows restraint against its people and releases the ones that have been locked up

Nope. I think they should separate out the pregnant women and one year old babies and use tank shells!

You don't have to.

It's a trend and what we saw happening in the western world, to the western economy, decline in living conditions, government spending cuts , increased taxations and how people react are there for us all to see. End of the day, humans are humans and no level of education or reasonings will affect the way they react to their governments. Now throw guns into the mix :azn:

Given up already, Bilal?

See that's why I was loathe to start this discussion with you. You have a strong predilection for pulling stats out of your a$$ and lying blatantly over and over again.

...Oh and don't bring India into the discussion.

India has far stricter Firearms laws than do either the US or Pakistan.
