This "Kurds becoming Zoroastrians" is some wannabe Kurdistanis latest attempt in creating problems where there is none.

Most of us tend to overlook their going overboard with the whole Zarathustra was a Kurd from the Zagros mountains bit.

But it is their ancestral faith too.

You or I are nobody to take it away from them.

These are still early days. There is always a huge language barrier when we meet, which has been becoming way more frequent in the past 3-4 years from where I stand.

Yes there are some opportunist groups who are more into political and financial lobbying.

Some of them tend to go on non-stop about the Christians and Jews more than the Muslims on all sides.

There is definitely a political nuance which is being exploited by all sides.

But then, that is also how Islam grew out of being a small local Arab movement, so no one is sweating that.

We on our part are doing the conversions (reversions), training their priests, providing theological support. Young Indian priests are going over. Their people are coming over (I won't say where).

There is another level that is political and military where big money is involved, and big states, and a lot of involvement by some seriously connected Zoroastrian entities (again, will remain silent in the dynamics).

There is currently a lot of jostling for power.

There are at least 7 major groups we are working with. Without taking sides.

Then there are the Yazidis. For some reason they stay to themselves. But the readiest to convert/revert.

Our goal is clear.

To carve a Zoroastrian homeland in the center of the Muslim middle east.

The final goal is always going to remain taking back Iran.

This is just the start.

Also, are there strong reasons you guys are opposed to the birth of an independent Kurdish state cobbling together territory of Syria and Iraq?

The Medes I'm assuming is the Median empire. That was one of our three major empires. What am I missing here?

There is no way they can hurt you guys. They've been brutalized by Saddam and the Turks and Assad.

Should we not help them? The high priests from India are still very conservative.

But many organisations and priests in North America and Europe have now started performing Navjotes for kids with only a single Parsi parent.

Look at the map i posted above, These supposed "Zoroastrians" Kurds printed a map of "Kurdistan" and they had the balls to not only add Iran's Kurdish provinces to their fairyland, They also added Iran's non-Kurdish provinces to "Kurdistan" so their fairyland can have access to have access to the sea, They're already on the expansion mode alright. This map was created by the same "Zoroastrians" Kurds that your advocating for, These guys are a new sect in Zoroastrianism, What you call this sect i might ask?

What your missing is that these guys are creating a fake history for themselves in which they are "Medes" and original inhabitants of this region and Persians are a bunch of foreign invaders who attacked this region and stole their culture and land, The same view you have for Turks in this forum these wannabe Kurdistanis have for you.

None of my business but Kurds are not always honest with these conversions, I've met Kurdis Christian converts, they just do it to get political asylum/support. On the other hand I've met many genuine Persian Zoroastrians, really nice and friendly people.

Really, take back Iran. When most of Iran is still full of Iranians albeit Muslims.....??

@Sam. intermarriage and cultural, linguistic identities are different for Kurds in different places. Kurds in Syria are Arabic speaking and identify as Sunnis. In Iraq, they also Arabic speaking.

So-called Persian Padma chan cannot read or understand farsi it seems. Instead he is trying to abuse you guys in hindi.

Yet, some Pakistani like me who is able to read and pick up Farsi (because pukhto, shairi and Islamic works) is not allowed to have any relationship with Iran according to Indians.

All the Iraqi Kurds I have met (mainly barbers) about 30 or so...know as much Arabic as much as the common Pakistanis. In fact more of them know Persian as many of them spent time in Iran......

Most likely these are the minority of Yazidi Kurds, who hate Muslims and especially Arabs, Turks, and Persians.

The vast majority of Kurds of Syria and Iraq are Arabic speaking, however culturally closer to Turks and Persians.

You believe in hillbilly propaganda too much. Currently 3 million Armenian Christians live in Iran. Another million or so Assyrians. There are about 20,000 Jews and 100,000 Zoro's.

Nobody complains about persecution or living in duress. We have laws you know.......a very reasonable society. In Yazd the Zoro community is earning a fortune from the revived tourism industry. A lot of tourists go there from the EU/ US/ Canada/ Australia/ India.
