Retired Army Colonel, Lawrence B. Wilkerson, former chief of staff to United States Tells reasons of US presence in Afghanistan

India has much severe internal turmoils(separatists, terorists, naxalites, hindu extremists, weak center) yet never saw US utter a word on safeguarding indian nukes let alone their poor record and history of nuclear accidents.

I can assure you everything I have said above applies equally to India, let there be no doubt. Some things are better left unsaid.
You never see them say they will together with pak army secure if needed.

Please understand this clearly: The Pak Army is ALREADY working with USA to ensure effective control, and it will continue.

Has it occurred to you to understand what the ramifications of the "collapse" in the context of this discussion? There may be no longer an effective command and control system capable of functioning in such an unlikely eventuality. All your feel-good chest-thumping aside, nobody can be accused of barging into a sovereign state that no longer exists in any effective manner. If said sovereign states exists and has effective control of its nuclear arsenal, then there is no problem that needs a solution.

It may also help you to bear in mind that USA has actually helped Pakistan improve its controls, exactly so that any concerns are allayed.

I can assure you that no nuclear state which is on the brink of "collapse" will be in a situation where it will lose its command and control in such a way that its nukes are selling on the next Sunday market. No, it doesn't work like that. There are many fail safe protocols and procedure already in place, not out of fear of so called "world" but to secure own population against any unfortunate accident. I mean whose going to secure American subs in the depths of oceans if and when American state collapse along with its command and control? You are very naïve and don't understand what it means to be nuke power.

Chest thumping? Its a fair worry as to what kind of of cowboys are running the American establishment playing with fire in their bravado. No military solution, no ifs and buts.

Your assurance is great. Except that we already know it failed when USSR collapsed. No military solution, agreed, unless a State collapses, if and when that happens. If USA collapses, the others powers better have an effective plan to deal with the aftermath too, surely.

USSR collapse didnt mean that its nukes were whisked away by average joe and detonate on next dewali! Pay attention when I said that there are buildin safe guards and protocols to meet such scenarios, where once nukes go outside state controlled "command and control" they become no more then toys. Nuclear state have earned their right to be where they are . Learn to respect that. And if you cant, well then, tough luck.

As i said, no military solution, in any circumstances , because the consequences of any such misadventure are just horrible to imagine. In laymen, there is no policeman to police a nuclear state. Better to learn this and live with the reality for your own good.

.
That is not what he said. He labeled it as the most unstable nuclear stockpile in the world, and the need to stabilize it, if necessary.

Hussain, the Americans cannot touch Pak nukes. If they try we will implode some in their face.
As long as Pakistan remains stable, it is all good, and there is obviously no need for any such actions.

Let's suppose Pakistan is unstable. Enlighten us what the US can and would do. I am very curious to know.

Well, it depends on the situation. What may be "too horrible to contemplate" may be the lesser of an even worse situation. It is all hypothetical at this point, so I will stop here.

Again, a hypothetical situation, hence not possible to discuss here.

There is only one proper solution here. Keep the Yanks shackled in Afghanistan. Don't let them move out. Suck the Yanks dry for another few decades. Economically and otherwise. Totally paralyze the Yanks until they beg for an exit.

China and Pakistan need to be on one page on Afghanistan at a minimum. If Iran and Russia get onboard even better. Time has come to team up and teach the American bully some manners. Surround the Yanks and choke them. There shouldn't be any room for negotiations. When the Yanks make tempting offers simply milk them. Let's play them from all sides. There should be zero ambiguity between China, Iran, Pakistan and Russia on US war in Afghanistan. US presence in Afghanistan impacts all neighboring nations adversely. US actions in Afghanistan are meant to destabalise all regional nations.

I love it when the Americans think they have room to involve and negotiate with other neighbors of Afghanistan LOL It is beautiful to see how the Americans think they can get concessions through China, Russia and Iran. The same nations it disparages on a daily basis.

This is our time to extract revenge. One hair at a time.

Excellent strategy! And then let them go when they beg to leave, or not? What if they say "please"?

LOL are you the same guy who is always the wise one and giving us advice on how tell sell our nations to the USA? Why the sudden change in tone? You simply don't have a strategy in Afghanistan to deal with the quad, do you? If you think you got a quad going on we got a quad of our own. Remember the names. China, Russia, Pakistan and Iran. We are gonna deal with uncle USA in Afghanistan. Absolutely no doubt about it.

The Americans will leave Afghanistan in 5-10 years. If the Taliban accept the May 1 extension, then the Americans will ask for a November extension, and so on. It's better if they continue to capture more and more territory. I think once the TB directly control 65-70% of the country (compared to around 55% now) and a city like Kandahar, the Americans will be forced to leave due to the sheer embarrassment of their (and ANA's) failure.

Whether they leave in 5 months or 5 years. Doesn't matter. We need to give them a drubbing. The goal should be to counter US misadventures. Like I said, China, Iran, Pakistan and Russia all have one thing in common. We don't approve US presence in Afghanistan. US presence in Afghanistan has only one purpose. It is meant to destabilize the region and particularly Iran, Pakistan and China. Russia will also be adversely impacted by US misbehavior. The US didn't invade Afghanistan to bring democracy or help Afghan women and children. They are there to stir the pot. Common sense dictates that the regional nations unite and tackle the problem in Afghanistan i.e. US presence. The goal is simple counterattack and disturb US presence in Afghanistan. We need to be wary of one thing. The US cannot trusted. Under no circumstances. The US will play nicely at times and pretend it wants to bring regional countries on board to have peace blah blah. The same old routine. Sow division and backtrack. We have seen that the US doesn't honor its own deals. It buys time to regroup and attack. We shouldn't fall for it. The pressure should this time be unrelenting and continues. Regardless of fake fancy promises. Time has come to eyeball the Yanks.

You hit the nail on the head here. The Americans said they would leave a decade ago. And now they're asking for an extension when the deal was signed a year ago. They won't honour this deal, I'm sure of it.

These bastards aren't leaving. They are only buying time and regrouping. These fvckers have sinister ideas. They want to control the region. Let me tell you they cannot. They cannot control an inch of this area without our approval. All it requires is for regional countries to turn the tables on the US deep state. Nail the bastards in Afghanistan. These delusional fvcks think they can own us in our own backyard. The Yanks shouldn't have breathing space in opiumland. If Iran, Pakistan, China and Iran unite the Americans are done and dusted.

Do you know why sleepy Joe is making Iran a priority all over again? The sick fvck cannot construct a proper sentence, but wants to bribe the Iranians. These Democrat cvnts think they can bribe Iran and win the war in Afghanistan. Have Iran as an ally in Afghanistan. Iran too should be absolutely under no illusion. Americans are untrustworthy snakes. They ditch nations like they ditch their allies. Ask Kurds how the Americans abandoned them. From fake promises of Kurdistan to thank you, but no thanks LOL

Even when America attack Pakistan, take its nuclear and destroy half the country in process some Americans will still deny that Americans in Past, present and for future has very dangerous and scary plans for Pakistan, As much as I want but Pakistan and Americans will never trust each other like before.
