Respect for the Afghan people

I pray to God that peace prevails in Afghanistan soon enough. It hurts me, & every Pakistani I know how much Afghanistan & the Afghan people have had to suffer. We do not revel in the suffering of the Afghan people, we feel the pain deep inside our hearts. We know what its like being mocked by the world, labeled as 'a failed state', & when there isn't a ray of hope from others. Afghanistan is a great nation with great history, great culture, great diversity, great/brave people. Dari/Pashto poetry & music is so beautiful, it can make your heart melt. Afghanistan has a lot of promise, & it will be a sad day if it fails to revive itself. I pray that Afghanistan is able to unite, & look after & take care of itself/fix its problems, it is a beautiful & historic land, made up of great people.

Unfortunately, for that to happen, the Afghan people will have to be united, & take responsibilities & matters into their own hands. Both the militants & the warlords are abysmal & divisive, & the Afghan people will have to make themselves count if they want to revive their country.

I think things along these lines were being discussed at the Istanbul conference. But it is the Afghan people that need to stand up & make themselves counted.

i dont think so its possible in near future but without this Afghanistan will remain a battle ground for big powers ,,,,,,,, i have seen many Afghanis living in Pakistan and from a long time they are waiting to go back to their homes but they cant .....

If the Afghanis get united then they can get rid off Talibans and USA both and they can make their land a peaceful place ... but lack of commitment and their internal tribal rivalries can not allow them to be united

We have great respect for our Afghan brothers n sisters. We want them to see developed more and more, and wish for their economical independence and political autonomy in the region.
But personally, i have a v much bitter experience with e-Afghans on different forums. They all hate us as a pakistani and name us as "punjabis ghulaman" etc. I am fade up of Afghaniat. I think, its the destiny of Afghans to suffer more due to their high negativities.

I think we all have our bitter experiences on the internet, I wouldn't take them too seriously. The Afghan people have suffered tremendously, we Pakistanis feel their pain deep inside us; they deserve our love & respect, even if there is some distrust there (from both sides).

India is biggest donor in the region. Afghans have become pro-indian. India is playing that same game as she did with our Bangladesh and to extent with our Balochistan. But Afghans are so fool that they are happily being played in their hands. I have nothing but sympathy in my heart for Afghanistan.

Afghanistan should be left alone if other foreign powers keep interfering in Afghanistan then there will be no peace ,,,, there should be no influence of any country on Afghanistan but the people of Afghanistan

Afghans, more than becoming pro-Indian, want Afghanistan to become stable & peaceful. They dislike all their neighbors (especially Pakistan, Iran), dislike their government, dislike the foreign troops, dislike the Taliban, dislike everyone. They are confused, bitter & divided. Afghanistan still gets most of its imports from Pakistan (as well as a lot of illegal smuggled goods from the Torkham that are unaccounted for), sends most of its exports to Pakistan. India quite frankly has no stake in Afghanistan, & they can never have the same cultural/historical connections that Pakistanis & Afghans have. The internet world is not the same as the real world. I wouldn't be worried about India, unless India is using Afghanistan to facilitate proxy wars inside Pakistan. While we have deep feelings for our Afghan brethren, & our people have tried to make Afghans feel at home in Pakistan; the sovereignty & safeguard of Pakistan & Pakistanis is of utmost importance to us.
