What's new

Replacing Pakistan Navy's Westland Sea King helicopters.

Improved version of Z-9 shall be suitable in terms of availability, affordability & maintenance wise. However P-3C orions are also doing the same anti-submarine job and looks better than helicopters.

For anti-ship role, KA-52K also seems suitable but requires approval from russia.

For Anti Ship role. Best would be JF-17s and IRBMs.

In the presence of JF-17s, UCAVs and other aerial platforms including Ballistic Missiles there is no need to have OPVs, Corvettes, Frigates and Destroyer/Cruisers at all.

You just need some LPDs and may be Tankers with Logistical support.

You are in need of Subs of different class.

100% agreed.

I sincerely doubt that the thingy under the tail is a weapon. More likely it is part of a ASW submarine detection suite (i.e. APM-60 towed submerged magnetic anomaly detector. The alternative load is a dipping sonar). It is quite plain from other pic that the ASW torpedo is mounted to the side underneath the fuselage.
