This was discussed 2 years ago, man really this shows how PCB works cannot even rename a stadium ?? I have always said that naming structures after political figures is not a good thing. These pathetic people come and go or get killed, hanged etc.

Maybe they thought rebounding would be useless without any intl.cricket to be played there.
But I agree with you on the naming after politicians issue .stadium and airport names should be such that they reflect the city and not a dead person who had no relation to the sport.

what you guys say abut rename or restore old name of Qaddafi stadium ? its not a shame we have name of a dictator which is part of history now and killed like a dog by own people i don't think stadium deserve this bad name now . old name was lahore stadium or rename it to any pakistani hero name . how can we rise our voice which reach to PCB officials ?

Name it shabeer sharief (shaheed) stadium or any shaheed of operation zarbe azab who fought with exceptional bravery. There are many heroes.

Qaddafi Stadium was named when Colonel Muammar Qaddafi was still a normal person. Later he became megalomaniac and his own people killed and dragged his body in the street.
