Religious parties offer blood money to Taseer’s family

Oh dear, that inadvertent error is what you wanted me to realize? Change the 'to' to 'by'. Isn't it bleeding obvious, that compensation is not paid to, but rather by the perpetrators?

Taseer also inadvertently took the matter in his own hands and look what happened.

Most of the debates you would like to have are not that simple that you would get an answer one line. And even if someone posts all that is relevant you would be lost in first few sentences. I am not discouraging you neither this was my intent from start, my point was and is simple that just acquire basic knowledge about diyyat applicability (if you don't have) before jumping into this debate. Anyways Ta ta bye bye.

I have no idea what the connection of this is, to my post.

'Before jumping into the debate'? I actually intiated debate, not jumped into it - not only did I create this thread, I also started a discussion about the practice of blood money.

If you have something to contribute to the discussion, or you want to contradict something I said, by all means do so - but this supercilious series of posts along the liness of "Oh I could tell you so much, but I won't because you are not capable of reading so much" is kind of pointless. Not to say, impudent.

You have no idea because you have no idea at all of what you are implying here. There is clearly a contradictory statement in article that you presented, and highlighted by us already but you still want to associate "diyyat" here in this case. If you don't happen to have read my initial post on this thread

They also offered to pay blood money to the deceased governor’s family for the acquittal of the self-confessed killer.

This is I believe is highly contradictory of them. Either this killing was just (no blood money in that case) or they killed someone innocent and now offer blood money............... so what is it?

And this is what most probably @Akheilos highlighted in his posts.

So what do you want me to do? If you started this debate then at least have courtesy of reading all comments before switching on your select mode and referring unnecessarily to Prophet (PBUH) and his times.

Well I asked you something did you answer? Do you know what "Fisad Fil Ardh" is? And for goodness sake calm your senses and be reasonable in your response to me, I won't be courteous next time if you reply to me like you are some superior high breed.

Now let me ask you again in plain simple terms. Do you think would it be logical if suppose a hitman pays money to family of his victim every time he kills someone and in return escapes justice or punishment?

Not really, blood money is not an offering...You dont go randomly killing and then offer blood money....these people have taken it as a joke since that Raymond case!

Well for me the very first thing for non applicability of blood money in this case is it is not offered when you know in your heart that you have done service to Islam by killing an evil. Hence my referring to contradiction in belief and action of these people.

Second linking this case to Raymond Davis case is beyond me, I will say its an attempt to blackmail

I agree

However, it is the duty of the judge to offer blood money choice IF the family of the dead wish to retaliate...Since that hasnt been on the table so ISLAMIC or so called whatever religious parties have no grounds to offer such a thing!
