Aid organizations are able to influence politicians, who care more about votes, into pressing for national resolutions condemning actions or funneling of public funds to the organ. and taking action etc. They can appeal to foreign citizens in opening their pocketbooks.

You should do your homework before you post, otherwise you just looking like an idiot happy to have an increased post count.

Why am I even arguing with any of you? Its pretty obvious your blinded by your Pride. Think you can do everything, talking about revolutions and tsunamis yet you'll still vote for the same old bastards and maintain the same old status quo.

Tunisians, Egyptians, Libyans and Syrians seem to have more balls than you all; and they don't even have nuclear weapons or the strongest Muslim military/ intelligence service in the world.
You have pretty much hit the nail on the head on the Red part. Read through this article on understanding the Pakistani psyche of honour and pride (called "ghairat" in Urdu).
Let us become — proudly — bayghairat
An excerpt
Anthropologists tell us that honour is a concept that originated in herding societies because a tribal man’s animals and women were protected from other tribesmen by a code of honour. But then, as tribes amalgamated and merged into the larger stream of civilisation, differing notions of honour led to strife. Traditional societies of the present era, in which honour plays a larger role, are relatively more violent than modern ones. The ease with which men kill their wives and daughters for sexual misconduct is but one example; there are scores of others.

A culture of honour is fine for the herders of goats and camels, or those who live in unpoliceable mountainous areas. But a culture of honour is disastrous for us, a nuclear-armed nation of 180 million people who want jobs, electricity, and the fruits of modernity. So, to hell with the fakery of meaningless honour! Instead, let us create a culture of law and reason, of compassion and tolerance. Let us become — proudly — bayghairat.

The fact that the Red Cross has stopped with its operations in several Pakistani cities, is something all of us should be ashamed of.

Men and women who are either beheaded or killed in other ways, just because they help our fellow Pakistanis with their health..

Do you "tough" guys realize this is unacceptable and shameful, to say the least?

What do you think of our Quaid-e-Azam? How would he have responded?

"Oh great, a few more red cross workers who need to die, and then they leave our country, so that our own doctors can take over"????

Most certainly not, he would be in tears. In tears because of the stupidity of some of his fellow Pakistanis, and for the fact that these organisations cannot perform their duties in our beloved country.

The game is deeper than what your pea size brain can comprehend...
Post full of swearing words and clear exhibits of teenage hormonal disorders wont help..
If you can come up with some statistics in a more civil manner, that may help us "Ignorant expats" to understand why you are throwing a tantrum..

On topic..Pakistan simply cannot protect the hoard of NGOs that have popped up all overthe country..The GOP has been issuing warnings after warning to them for not going to certain areas.. But they still sneak in....
Some of them deserve being arrested and deported for not abiding by the GOPs advisory and putting their life in danger.

imran bhai........

who dont like his child getting food and medical care?

Every human want it bro . but not on price of national security .we can't save 5 poor and let killed 500 directly or indirectly by them if they harm extremists they got revenge from civilians of pakistan .

@ Safriz, we do have enough doctors at home. Now we have a decent amount of specialists as well. I think some people have no idea what they are talking about.

Almost every person in my family and extended family, male or female is a doctor or in the medical profession.

Don't worry, in a few years i will change the whole system and treat people for free.... :woot:

Where are YOUR statistics?
And elaborate on "the game is deeper".

Your posts in this thread are drenched in stupidity and ignorance.
Only talk and nothing to back it up.

Elmo has asked you to come up with sources, so far you have failed to provide anything decent, except for bashing the Red Cross and claiming that Pakistan has plenty of doctors of its own.

Bear in mind some of us including myself have lost family members in Pakistan due to medical faults which could have easily been avoided.

Some of the faults, if you ever hear, will destroy your sane mind because you cannot believe it is actually true.

And here you are, claiming that it's good for them to pack their stuff and get out of here because the Red Cross is a cover up organisation? And we have "plenty" of doctors of our own?

Use common sense, and do not speak if you have not experienced ground realities.

Well at least i am calm and not showing my swearing skill unlike you and that TheoRetiacalMuslim or whatever he is......

So genius..why you think those NGOs are so desperately trying to enter every troubled area in Pakistan where eve NATO wont dare going?
Even the Mighty Zardari wont go to Baluchistan but Khalil Dale was stationed there...
Why so?

People Die of medical folly all over the world, your relatives weren't the only one. That doesnt mean the rest of the world call in cavalry from abroad..
Its only us Pakistanis who wont trust a thing inside their country but will give their heart and soul to an unknown foreigner...
Please get the hell out of this Slave mentality

I'm not going to jump into conspiracy theories, the very likes of Zardari, Rehman Malik and their cronies have created this atmosphere of mistrust.

Have you perhaps forgotten that the people who work in these NGO's have an ideal perhaps? A goal? A mission? Why do people work for an institution like the Red Cross? To lend humanitarian aid to those who need it most? And sure in hell do people in certain parts of Pakistan need it the most.

You make the Red Cross look like it is the CIA.

I can lose my calm and composure when I read some of the posts here, especially when I know that we have other things to worry about, the last thing we want to suspect is an organisation which helps the Pakistanis who need it most.

Me neither....
But the ground reality is that whichever area is troubled in Pakistan...Mainly American funded....used as a tool to justify their mad bad WOT including drone attacks..
"Oh we give you money, let us kill your people"...
TI-Pakistan: News
I already said that the actual people working for these NGOs are working in good faith, well most of them..But it is plausible that NGOs have their hands in the supply of terrorism equipment to Suicide bombers...
Just about any angry mullah cannot arrange 50Kg of Explosives and there has to be a supply chain which Pakistani security forces haven been able to crack....
Any area that is troubled needs to be cordoned off from all foreign intrusion and that's normal security procedure but the diaspora of NGOs in Pakistan wont let it happen...
Put them under scrutiny, they will cry rape....restrict their movement in the country again they will cry rape...

You the residents of Pakistan are the most confused people on the planet...You expect miracles from your army and security forces but will despise any effort from them to reach the root causes and improve security...
Didn't Pakistan ask the NGOs specially foreign NGOs to stay away from Baluchistan.? Then why they were stationed in Quetta?
You wont blame them, you will blame Pakistan army, wont you?
